For each mattress we display up to date prices from our UK retail partners for every size, with the cheapest highlighted. The price you compare is the price for the size you're actually buying.
Side-by-side comparisons
Pick three mattresses and compare them side by side, from construction and firmness to price. We also have done-for-you comparison articles with popular brands and mattress types going head-to-heads with our clear verdict at the end.
Mattress finder

Other mattress review sites lab-test a few hundred mattresses and keep certain results for paying members. Everything on Mattress Unboxed is free, with no account or subscription, and it covers more than 1,000 mattresses.
Deals measured against real prices
Mattress prices are often shown against a recommended retail price that few people ever pay. We judge a deal against the prices we've actually seen over time, so any saving we show is one you could genuinely make.
Price tables sorted by price
Retailers are listed cheapest first, whatever commission they pay us. Paid placements, where they appear, are clearly labelled and never move a retailer up a price table or change a verdict.
Budget to luxury in one place

The team behind Mattress Unboxed
Mattress Unboxed grew out of Richard Plumridge's own search for a better night's sleep. He spent a long time researching mattresses, and in January 2020 he and Steven Gunn turned that research into this site. Three of us run it today, working remotely.

- Open a mattress page, pick your size and compare the prices listed.
- Click through to the retailer you choose and buy directly from them.
- The retailer handles payment, delivery, the sleep trial and any returns, on its own terms.

Yes. There's no account to create and nothing on the site sits behind a paywall.
How does Mattress Unboxed make money?
When you click through to a retailer and buy, we may earn a commission from that retailer at no extra cost to you. It never changes the order of our price tables or what we say about a mattress, and How We Make Money sets out the detail.
Can I buy a mattress from Mattress Unboxed?
No. We compare prices and link you to the retailer, and you buy directly from them. The retailer handles delivery and returns, including any sleep trial.
Does Mattress Unboxed test mattresses?
We don't lab-test mattresses or sleep on every model we cover. Our assessments draw on manufacturer specifications, our own price data, owner reviews and recognised independent sources, and How We Test explains the method.
Can brands pay to rank higher?
No. Price tables are sorted by price, and any paid placement is labelled and kept separate from our verdicts.
How often are prices updated?
