Why should you choose this mattress?
The pillow top adds a layer of cushioning, so the surface feels softer than the medium soft rating alone suggests. That suits side sleepers and lighter sleepers who like to sink in a little. The cooling cover is a sensible touch if you tend to sleep warm, and the hypoallergenic build helps if allergens bother you. The reinforced edge should make the sides feel steadier when you sit or sleep near them. It's single-sided and no-turn, so there's no flipping to remember. It suits most people who want a plush, cushioned feel, although those wanting a firm, supportive surface may find it too soft.
Key features & layer details
We’re still collecting information on this mattress. Unfortunately, we don’t have its key features yet.
Best suited for?
Side sleepers
The pillow top adds a layer of cushioning over the medium soft feel, so shoulders and hips can sink in a little.
Lighter sleepers
Lighter sleepers get a plush, cushioned surface from the pillow top and medium soft rating, which lets them settle into the mattress comfortably.
Warm sleepers
A cooling cover is part of the build, which suits anyone who tends to sleep warm and wants a fresher surface.
Allergy sufferers
The hypoallergenic build is a sensible fit for anyone bothered by allergens who wants a mattress made with that in mind.
If you prefer sleeping on a firm mattress, this might not be the best choice. It's rated medium soft, and the pillow top adds more cushioning on top. Heavier sleepers, and back or front sleepers who need a firmer surface, may find it too forgiving. It's also single-sided, so it can't be flipped.
Save on an earlier or ex-display model
Some retailers still sell the earlier version of this mattress, or ex-display and returned stock at a lower price. These are the sizes where it costs less than the current model's best price.

FAQ's
How firm is the Dunlopillo Elite Comfort 1400 Pocket Pillow Top?
It's rated medium soft, and the pillow top adds extra cushioning on the surface. That suits side sleepers and lighter bodies well, although anyone who wants firm support is likely to find it too soft.
What sizes does the Dunlopillo Elite Comfort 1400 Pocket Pillow Top come in?
It comes in a UK double (135 x 190cm), UK king (150 x 200cm) and UK super king (180 x 200cm). It isn't listed in single or small double sizes.
How deep is the Dunlopillo Elite Comfort 1400 Pocket Pillow Top?
It's 31cm deep. That's a fairly generous depth, so check that your bed frame and bedding suit a mattress of this thickness before you order.
Does the Dunlopillo Elite Comfort 1400 Pocket Pillow Top come with a trial?
Mattress Online offers a 100-night comfort trial, and that trial is the retailer's own offer rather than Dunlopillo's. The mattress also comes with a 15-year guarantee, so check the full terms before buying.
Is the Dunlopillo Elite Comfort 1400 Pocket Pillow Top good for hot sleepers?
It has a cooling cover and a wool and pocket spring build, which should help with warmth. The pillow top means you sink in somewhat, so very hot sleepers may still prefer a firmer, more open surface.
