Why should you choose this mattress?
The latex layer is the main draw. At 50mm and infused with graphite, it responds as you shift position and gives a cooling finish, so it should suit people who tend to sleep warm. Below it, 2400 pocket springs (counted on a king) work individually, so support follows your body's shape. The pillow top adds a deep quilted surface for extra cushioning, while the reinforced edge helps the sides hold their shape. It suits most sleepers who want a medium feel with some plushness, although those wanting a really firm surface may find it too cushioned.
Key features & layer details
Pillow top
A deep quilted surface that adds an extra layer of comfort. It gives a more cushioned feel on top, although the depth of this layer isn't stated.
Latex comfort layer
A 50mm layer of smart natural latex infused with graphite. It responds to your movements through the night and gives a cooling finish.
Pocket springs
2400 pocket springs, counted on a king, each in its own cloth pocket. They respond individually to your body's contours, so support adapts to your shape.

Best suited for?
Warm sleepers
The 50mm layer of graphite-infused natural latex gives a cooling finish, which means the surface should feel less stuffy for people who tend to sleep hot.
Side sleepers
A medium feel with a deep quilted pillow top adds cushioning at the surface, which means shoulders and hips can settle in comfortably.
Combination sleepers
The latex layer responds as you shift position, so the surface keeps up when you move between sleeping positions during the night.
Couples
With 2400 pocket springs (counted on a king) working individually, support follows each person's shape, and the reinforced edge helps the sides hold up.
If you prefer sleeping on a firm mattress, this might not be the best choice. It's rated medium, and the pillow top adds a softer feel on the surface. It's also single-sided, so you can rotate it but not flip it. Mattress Online's trial requires buying a mattress protector from them, which may not suit everyone.
Save on an earlier or ex-display model
Some retailers still sell the earlier version of this mattress, or ex-display and returned stock at a lower price. These are the sizes where it costs less than the current model's best price.

FAQ's
How firm is the Kaymed Smart Latex 2400 Pillow Top?
It's rated medium. The deep quilted pillow top adds cushioning, so the surface can feel softer than the rating suggests. Sleepers who want a firm feel will probably prefer a firmer mattress.
What sizes does the Kaymed Smart Latex 2400 Pillow Top come in?
It comes in a UK single (90 x 190cm), UK double (135 x 190cm), UK king (150 x 200cm) and UK super king (180 x 200cm). Each is 34cm deep.
How many pocket springs does the Kaymed Smart Latex 2400 Pillow Top have?
It has 2400 pocket springs, each encased in a cloth pocket so they respond individually to your body's contours. That count is based on a king size, so other sizes will differ.
Does the Kaymed Smart Latex 2400 Pillow Top have a trial or guarantee?
Mattress Online offers its own 100-night comfort trial, but you need to buy a mattress protector from them to be eligible. The mattress also has a 5-year guarantee covering manufacturing faults.
Is the Kaymed Smart Latex 2400 Pillow Top good for hot sleepers?
It may help, as the 50mm natural latex layer is graphite-infused for a cooling finish. The deep pillow top adds cushioning on the surface, though, so very hot sleepers may want to weigh that up.
