Why should you choose this mattress?
The firm feel is the main draw if you sleep on your back or front and want your body held up rather than sunk in. The Miracoil springs have zoned support, so different areas of the mattress are set up to support you differently. The head-to-toe sprung design minimises motion transfer, which helps if a partner moves about. Comfort Breathe fibres help regulate temperature, and the pillow top adds some cushioning on the surface without changing the firm rating. The cover is aloe vera infused and soft to the touch, and the mattress is naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial.
Key features & layer details
We’re still collecting information on this mattress. Unfortunately, we don’t have its key features yet.
Best suited for?
Back sleepers
The firm rating and zoned Miracoil springs are set up to hold your body up rather than let it sink in, which suits sleeping on your back.
Front sleepers
A firm feel keeps your body held up on top of the mattress instead of sinking in, and the pillow top adds a little surface cushioning.
Couples
The head-to-toe sprung design minimises motion transfer, so you are less likely to feel a partner moving about, and the range runs up to UK super king.
Warm sleepers
Comfort Breathe fibres in the construction help regulate temperature, which is useful if you tend to get hot during the night.
Allergy sufferers
The mattress is described as naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial, and the cover is aloe vera infused and soft to the touch.
If you prefer sleeping on a soft or medium mattress, this might not be the best choice. It's rated firm, and the pillow top softens the surface only a little. Side sleepers who want a lot of give around the shoulders and hips may find it too unyielding. Silentnight doesn't publish a spring count for this mattress.
Save on an earlier or ex-display model
Some retailers still sell the earlier version of this mattress, or ex-display and returned stock at a lower price. These are the sizes where it costs less than the current model's best price.

FAQ's
How firm is the Silentnight Aloe Vera Orford Miracoil Pillow Top?
It's described as a firm mattress with a firm comfort grade, best for back and front sleepers. The pillow top adds some surface cushioning, but the rating stays firm, so side sleepers who want a softer feel may not get on with it.
What sizes does the Silentnight Aloe Vera Orford Miracoil Pillow Top come in?
It comes in a UK single, UK small double, UK double, UK king and UK super king. There's no UK small single option, so check your bed frame size before choosing.
How deep is the Silentnight Aloe Vera Orford Miracoil Pillow Top?
It's 27cm deep. That's the full mattress depth, so make sure your bed frame and bedding suit that height.
Is the Silentnight Aloe Vera Orford Miracoil Pillow Top good for couples?
It can be. The head-to-toe sprung design minimises motion transfer, so you should feel less of a partner's movement. Both of you need to be happy with a firm feel, though.
Does the Silentnight Aloe Vera Orford Miracoil Pillow Top help with temperature?
It has Comfort Breathe fibres for temperature regulation, which should help it feel more comfortable through the night. Silentnight doesn't describe it as a dedicated cooling mattress, so very hot sleepers may want a model built for that.
