Silentnight Courage Waterproof Kids' Mattress

Assessed from the specification published by bedboy.co.uk, captured November 2026, and from regular price comparison across our UK retail partners.

The two sides are the main draw. The waterproof easy-wipe side copes with accidents, and you can flip to the quilted side when you don't need it. The EcoComfort Fibres layer is breathable and helps regulate temperature, which means a cooler, fresher night for your child. Open coil springs support from head to toe, and the firm feel gives a flat, supportive surface. It's also foam-free and chemical-free, with hypoallergenic properties. It suits most children from 3 years up, although a child who likes a soft, sinking feel may find it too firm.

Children
Made for children aged 3 and over, it has a waterproof wipe-clean side for accidents and a quilted side to flip to when you don't need it.

Allergy sufferers
The foam-free, chemical-free build and hypoallergenic properties make it a sensible pick for households wanting a cleaner sleep surface for a child.

Warm sleepers
A breathable EcoComfort Fibres layer helps regulate temperature, which means a cooler, fresher night for children who tend to get hot in bed.

Eco-conscious buyers
The EcoComfort Fibres layer is made from recycled plastic, so you get a temperature-regulating comfort layer with a recycled material at its core.

If your child prefers sleeping on a soft mattress, this might not be the best choice, because it's rated firm. It also comes in a UK single only, so it won't work if you need another size. It's made for children aged 3 years and over, so it isn't intended for younger toddlers.

How firm is the Silentnight Courage Waterproof Kids' Mattress?

It's rated firm. That gives a flat, supportive feel that suits children who like a firmer bed, although a child who prefers a soft, cushioned surface may find it too firm.

What size does the Silentnight Courage come in?

It comes in a UK single only, at 90 x 190cm. If you need a different size, this mattress won't be the right fit.

How deep is the Silentnight Courage Waterproof Kids' Mattress?

It's 21cm deep. Check that figure against your child's bed frame before you buy, so you know how high the mattress will sit.

Is the Silentnight Courage waterproof on both sides?

No. It's dual-sided, with one waterproof easy-wipe side and one quilted side. Use the waterproof side when you want protection from accidents, and flip it over for the quilted surface.

Does the Silentnight Courage come with a trial or guarantee?

Yes. Dreams offers a 100-night comfort trial, which is the retailer's own offer, and Silentnight gives a 5-year guarantee. Check the retailer's terms before you buy.
