Why should you choose this mattress?
The pillow top and soft polyester comfort layer give a cushioned surface, and the two Staycool Gel layers are described by Sleepeezee as pressure-sensitive and cooling. Beneath them, three layers of pocket springs add responsiveness and support, and a high-density foam border gives edge-to-edge support, so the sides should feel steadier to sit on. It's single-sided with no turning needed, and hypoallergenic. It suits side sleepers and anyone who likes a soft feel, although heavier sleepers may want more support than a medium soft rating suggests.
Key features & layer details
Soft knitted cover
The knitted pillow top cover that you sleep on. It gives the mattress a soft, quilted-feel finish.
Soft polyester comfort layer
A soft polyester fibre layer under the cover. It adds surface cushioning, so the mattress feels gentle as you lie down.
Staycool Gel
Two dedicated layers of Staycool Gel foam, which Sleepeezee describes as pressure-sensitive and cooling. They ease pressure and help the surface stay cooler.
ActivFlex spring foam
A profiled foam that combines the adaptive benefits of foam with the responsiveness of springs. You get contouring without feeling stuck in the mattress.
1000 mini comfort springs
A top layer of mini pocket springs nestled within the pillow top. They add a responsive, close-fitting layer of comfort near the surface.
1400 mini comfort springs
A middle layer of mini pocket springs that adds responsiveness. It helps the mattress react as you move.
1200 traditional pocketed springs
The core layer of main pocket springs that provides the foundation and support. This is what holds your weight steady beneath the softer layers.
Fully encapsulated spring unit
A high-density foam border surrounds the spring unit to give edge-to-edge support. It makes the sides firmer to sit on and gives you more usable sleeping space.
Foundation support pad
A support pad that forms the foundation for the layers above. It sits at the base and supports the springs.

Best suited for?
Side sleepers
The medium soft rating, pillow top and two Staycool Gel layers give a cushioned, pressure-easing surface, which suits the way shoulders and hips sink in when lying on your side.
Lighter sleepers
A soft polyester comfort layer and a pillow top with mini comfort springs give plenty of cushioning, so lighter bodies can sink in comfortably without feeling held up by the mattress.
Warm sleepers
Two dedicated Staycool Gel foam layers are described as cooling, which helps the surface stay cooler through the night under the soft knitted cover.
Allergy sufferers
The mattress is described as hypoallergenic, which makes it a sensible choice for anyone who wants a cleaner sleeping surface in their bedroom.
Couples
A high-density foam border around the fully encapsulated spring unit gives edge-to-edge support, so both sleepers get more usable space and the sides feel steadier to sit on.
If you prefer sleeping on a firm mattress, this might not be the best choice. It's rated medium soft and the pillow top adds more cushioning, so back and front sleepers who need a flatter, firmer surface may find it too yielding. It's also single-sided, so you can't flip it, and at 33cm deep it needs a frame and bedding that suit a deeper mattress.

FAQ's
How firm is the Sleepeezee ActivFlex Response 3600 Pocket Pillow Top?
Sleepeezee rates it medium soft, and the pillow top adds extra cushioning on the surface. That suits side sleepers and lighter sleepers well, but anyone wanting firm support will probably find it too soft.
What sizes does the Sleepeezee ActivFlex Response 3600 Pocket Pillow Top come in?
It comes in a UK single, UK small double, UK double, UK king and UK super king. Sleepeezee and Linthorpe also list a UK super king zip-and-link version, so check which one you're buying.
How deep is the Sleepeezee ActivFlex Response 3600 Pocket Pillow Top?
Sleepeezee lists it at 33cm deep. That's a fairly deep mattress, so check that your bed frame and fitted sheets can take that depth before you order.
Is the Sleepeezee ActivFlex Response 3600 Pocket Pillow Top good for hot sleepers?
It has two Staycool Gel foam layers that Sleepeezee describes as cooling, which should help. Sleepeezee doesn't publish a temperature test, though, and the pillow top and comfort fibres still add cushioning, so very hot sleepers should bear that in mind.
Does the Sleepeezee ActivFlex Response 3600 Pocket Pillow Top have a guarantee?
Yes, Sleepeezee gives it a 10-year guarantee. Trial periods vary by retailer, so check the terms with the retailer you buy from.
