Why should you choose this mattress?
The pillow top gives you a cushioned surface, while the medium rating keeps the overall feel balanced rather than sinking. Beneath it, a 3cm Cool Gel foam layer slows heat build-up, which helps if you tend to wake up warm. Mini pocket springs add pressure relief, and the 800 springs in the base give core support and motion isolation, so a partner's movements should be less noticeable. It's hypoallergenic and has a non-slip base, so it stays put on your bed frame. Suits most sleepers who want a medium feel with a soft top, although you'll need to rotate it every three months.
Key features & layer details
Pillow top
A soft 2cm pillow top of plush foam fillings. It gives you extra cushioning on the surface, so the mattress feels softer than its medium rating alone suggests.
Cool Gel foam
A 3cm layer of Cool Gel foam that slows the buildup of heat within the mattress. That means you're less likely to overheat during the night.
Reflex foam
Soft, flexible reflex foam that supports spinal alignment. It helps your body stay level on top of the springs.
Mini pocket springs
Small, individually cased springs that add comfort and pressure relief. They respond to your body's curves, easing pressure where you press in most.
Pocket springs (800 base)
800 individual springs at the base for core support and motion isolation. They give the mattress its foundation and help limit how much you feel a partner moving.

Best suited for?
Warm sleepers
A 3cm Cool Gel foam layer slows heat build-up inside the mattress, which means you are less likely to overheat during the night.
Couples
The 800 pocket springs in the base give motion isolation, which means a partner's movements should be less noticeable when you share the bed.
Side sleepers
A soft 2cm pillow top and mini pocket springs add cushioning and pressure relief, so your body can ease in where you press down most.
Allergy sufferers
The mattress is hypoallergenic, which makes it a sensible choice if you want a bed that keeps allergens to a minimum.
If you prefer sleeping on a firm mattress, this might not be the best choice. It's rated medium, and the pillow top makes the surface feel softer still. It's also single-sided, so it can't be flipped and needs rotating every three months. Sizes are limited to a UK single and a UK super king.
Save on an earlier or ex-display model
Some retailers still sell the earlier version of this mattress, or ex-display and returned stock at a lower price. These are the sizes where it costs less than the current model's best price.

FAQ's
How firm is the SleepSoul Luna 2000 Comfort Pillow Top?
SleepSoul rates it medium. The 2cm pillow top makes the surface feel softer, so it suits sleepers who want a cushioned medium feel, but not anyone who wants a firm mattress.
What sizes does the SleepSoul Luna 2000 Comfort Pillow Top come in?
It comes in a UK single (90 x 190cm) and a UK super king (180 x 200cm). Both are 30cm deep, with a stated tolerance of plus or minus 2cm.
How deep is the SleepSoul Luna 2000 Comfort Pillow Top?
It's 30cm deep in both sizes, with a tolerance of plus or minus 2cm. That should suit most standard bed frames, but check your frame's mattress depth allowance first.
Is the SleepSoul Luna 2000 Comfort Pillow Top good for hot sleepers?
It has some help for warm sleepers. A 3cm Cool Gel foam layer slows heat build-up within the mattress. SleepSoul doesn't make stronger cooling claims, so very hot sleepers may want to weigh that up.
Does the SleepSoul Luna 2000 Comfort Pillow Top have a trial or guarantee?
Mattress Online offers its own 100-night comfort trial, and a 10-year guarantee is listed for the mattress. Trial eligibility conditions apply, so read Mattress Online's terms before you buy.
