Ikea Hamarvik Sprung Mattress

Assessed from Ikea's product page, captured September 2026, and from regular price comparison across our UK retail partners.

The Hamarvik is a simple sprung mattress, and that suits a spare room well. The stretch fabric cover moves with you, so turning over during the night should feel less restricted at the surface. Under it sits a foam comfort layer that adds cushioning, and below that are open coil Bonnell springs for the sprung support. That makes it a sensible fit for combination sleepers and for occasional guests who just need a comfortable bed. The build is straightforward, with a cover, a foam layer and springs, so it isn't aimed at anyone looking for extras such as zoned support or cooling layers.
