Pocket springs are a sensible choice if you share a bed: the independent springs limit motion transfer, so a restless partner is less likely to wake you. Starting at £379 for a Double, the Hokkasen sits at a fairly accessible price for a pocket sprung design, though the Super King end of the range reaches £499. That said, its depth, firmness and comfort layers aren't published, so if those details matter to you, and they should, check the specification carefully before buying.

Who's it NOT for?
There's no UK Single size, so it won't suit anyone furnishing a child's room or a single bed. And if you want to know exactly how firm a mattress is before committing, the lack of confirmed firmness information here means you'll need to do your own checking first.

What sizes does the Ikea Hokkasen mattress come in?
It's available in UK Double, UK King and UK Super King. There's no Single or Small Double option listed, so smaller bed frames aren't catered for.
How much does the Ikea Hokkasen mattress cost?
Prices range from £379 to £499 depending on the size you choose, with the Double starting from £379.
Is the Ikea Hokkasen a pocket sprung mattress?
Yes. Pocket springs are individually wrapped in fabric pockets, which means each one responds to pressure on its own. In practice, you get more targeted support and less disturbance when a partner moves.
