Memory foam
4cm of memory foam in total, which means enhanced cushioning and pressure relief where your body presses in most. You should feel a gentle, contouring hug rather than a firm push-back.
Foam base
A supportive foam base sits beneath the comfort layers to provide a stable foundation. It stops you sinking too far and keeps the mattress feeling consistent edge to edge.
Layer details from dormeo.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 75cm each for two sharing: A UK king gives 75cm each for two people sharing, which means you can change position at night without negotiating for territory.
- Movement stays on your side: All-foam construction absorbs motion rather than transferring it, so an early alarm or a 5am start is less likely to wake the partner still sleeping.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, welcome breathing room if either of you is approaching six foot.
- Soft cradling across a bigger surface: The 4cm memory foam layer contours to hips and shoulders, and in a UK king each side sleeper gets that cushioning without drifting into shared space.
- The biggest this mattress gets: Dormeo makes the Fresh Deluxe in UK single, UK double and UK king only, so the UK king is the most space this model offers a couple.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel cramped, especially if one of you gets up hours before the other and you want that movement absorbed rather than felt. It also fits if either partner is tall enough to appreciate the 200cm length, or if pregnancy has you propping pillows and shifting position through the night and you need room to do it.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK king. In that case we'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m and still offers the same soft, contouring feel.

How much space do we each get on a UK king Dormeo Fresh Deluxe?
Two people sharing a UK king get 75cm each. That is enough for each of you to settle into the memory foam's contouring without ending up in the middle, and it makes a real difference if one of you moves around a lot at night.
Will a UK king Dormeo Fresh Deluxe fit my bedroom?
The mattress itself is 150 x 200cm. For the room, we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can walk round both sides and open drawers comfortably. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they look once wardrobes go in, so measure the free floor space, not the room.
Is the UK king Dormeo Fresh Deluxe long enough for someone over 6ft?
It should be. The UK king is 200cm long, 10cm longer than the UK double, and for taller sleepers that length is often the real upgrade rather than the width. Feet hanging off the end of a 190cm double is exactly the problem this size solves.
Should we buy the Dormeo Fresh Deluxe in a double or a king?
If the room takes it, the UK king. It is 15cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double, and on a soft, cradling mattress like this the extra width means less rolling towards each other. Choose the UK double only if your room is under 2.7m x 2.9m.
Will my partner feel me getting up from a Dormeo Fresh Deluxe king?
Less than on a sprung mattress. Memory foam absorbs movement rather than passing it across the bed, and the 75cm each of a UK king means you are rarely moving right next to your partner anyway. If you keep different schedules, this combination is a genuine advantage.
