Layer Details
- Luxury Quilted Top. A quilted top layer designed for softness and breathable comfort. This is the plush surface feel you notice first when you lie down.
- Dream Plush Breathable Supporting Memory Foam. Breathable memory foam that contours to your body and responds to your sleeping position through the night. In practice, that means gentle pressure relief at your shoulders and hips.
- Dynamic Transition Layer. A foam layer that smooths the shift between the soft comfort layers and the firmer springs below. It stops you feeling an abrupt change in support as you sink in.
- Reinforced Edge Spring Unit. A 15cm layer of pocket springs with reinforced edge support, designed for consistent support across the whole mattress. Individually-wrapped springs also help limit motion transfer if you share the bed.
- Positioning Base Material. A non-slip base layer that grips your bed frame. This keeps the mattress from shifting around, especially on slatted bases.
Layer details from dreamcloudsleep.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Maximum distance from a restless partner: With 90cm each for two people sharing, most movement happens too far away to wake you, and the pocket springs absorb what little travels across.
- Space for the whole household: If children or a large dog find their way in most nights, 180cm of width means everyone keeps a workable share of the bed.
- Usable right to the edges: The reinforced edge spring unit keeps the sides supportive, which matters at this size because a couple sharing tends to spread out towards them.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK super king is 10cm longer than a UK double, welcome if either of you is tall.
- Medium feel across a big surface: The Medium (5 out of 10) firmness suits most sleepers, so two people with different preferences can usually both settle on it.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the most space a standard UK size offers, your children or pets treat your bed as their own, or one of you is a restless sleeper and distance is the fix. It also suits a larger master bedroom, the sort of room where a UK king can look a little undersized against the wall.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested minimum of 3m x 2.9m, or you sleep alone and don't need 180cm of width. DreamCloud lists this mattress in UK super king only, so for a smaller size you'd need a different mattress.

What room size do I need for a super king DreamCloud Hybrid?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, and that's our guidance rather than DreamCloud's. Before you order, check door swing and any tight landing turns too. At 180 x 200cm this is a big item to move, and awkward corners catch people out more often than the room itself does.
Is the DreamCloud Hybrid super king big enough for a family who co-sleep?
It's the most practical standard size for it. At 180cm wide, two adults and a wandering child can usually all fit without anyone hanging off the side, and the reinforced edge springs keep the outer sections supportive rather than saggy, which helps when the bed fills up.
Will the super king DreamCloud Hybrid stop me feeling my partner move?
Nothing eliminates movement entirely, but this size gives you the best chance. With 90cm each for two people sharing, most turning happens well away from you, and the individually-wrapped pocket springs limit how much motion travels across the mattress in the first place.
How much bigger is a UK super king than a UK king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length at 200cm. That extra width is the whole argument for sizing up: it's roughly the difference between occasionally bumping elbows and forgetting anyone else is in the bed.
What bedding will I need for this mattress?
Super king sheets, sized for 180 x 200cm, and a 260 x 220cm duvet. Bedding at this size costs more than king equivalents, which is a running expense to budget for rather than a one-off, so factor it in before you commit to the larger footprint.
