Layer Details
- Quilted Cover. The cover is stitched together with the fillings to form a patterned comfort quilt layer. This gives a soft, cushioned surface feel before you reach the latex beneath.
- Latex. A generous latex layer gently contours to your body shape, which means personalised pressure relief where you need it most. It provides orthopaedic support to key areas without the slow, enveloping feel of memory foam.
- Pocket Springs. Up to 1050 individual pocket springs deliver orthopaedic support with a medium firm feel. Each spring sits in its own breathable fabric pocket, so they move independently and help air circulate through the mattress.
Layer details from mattressnextday.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 90cm each for two sharers: You each get 90cm of width, which means a restless partner's fidgeting happens over there, not against your shoulder.
- Pocket springs keep movement local: Up to 1050 springs sit in individual fabric pockets, so when a child climbs in at 3am, the movement stays on their side.
- Latex that copes with company: The latex layer responds quickly as you move, which means shifting position around a sleeping toddler or dog feels easy rather than laboured.
- Breathable at a size that runs warm: More bodies in one bed means more heat, and latex with breathable spring pockets moves air better than an all-foam bed would.
- 30cm wider than a UK king: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length, a difference you feel every night if you currently share a king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want enough space that neither of you notices the other move, or your children or a large dog treat your bed as theirs and a UK king has started to feel crowded. It also suits a larger master bedroom or period property where a smaller bed looks lost against the proportions of the room.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum for this size, or you sleep alone. The UK king would suit you better, and needs a slightly smaller room, at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

What room size do I need for a super king Dunlopillo Meya?
We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m for a UK super king, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels more comfortable, leaving space for bedside tables on both sides and a full wardrobe door swing. This is our guidance rather than Dunlopillo's, so measure your room before ordering.
Is the super king Meya big enough for co-sleeping with children?
It's the best mainstream size for it. Two adults get 90cm each, so a child wandering in during the night borrows space without leaving anyone on the edge. The pocket springs also move independently, which means their wriggling is far less noticeable than it would be on a smaller, all-foam bed.
How much bigger is the super king Meya than the king size?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length at 200cm. That extra width is the whole argument for sizing up: if you share with a partner who turns often, or a dog who sleeps sideways, 30cm changes the night considerably.
Will a super king mattress get up my stairs and round the landing?
At 180 x 200cm this is a large, fairly heavy item to move, so check your staircase, landing turns and door widths before ordering. The Meya isn't sold as zip and link halves in this listing, so it travels as one piece. Tight period staircases and loft conversions deserve a tape measure first.
Is the Dunlopillo Meya super king worth it for a restless partner?
Distance helps more than any comfort layer, and 90cm each is as much distance as a standard UK bed offers. The pocket springs reduce motion transfer on top of that, and the latex lets each of you change position without disturbing the other. Compare the retailers listed on this page for the current price.
