Comfort Layer - Top Surface (Summer Side)
The summer side puts moisture wicking cotton closest to you. In practice that means a cooler, drier feel on warm nights.
Comfort Layer - Moisture Wicking Blend
Further layers of cotton, hemp and flax fibres draw moisture away from your body. This adds to that refreshing feel rather than letting heat and dampness build up.
Comfort Layer - Breathability Blend
A blend of British wool, hemp and flax fibres improves durability within the comfort layers. Natural fibres like these tend to hold their loft well over time.
Comfort Layer - Luxury Blend
Wool, mohair and cashmere sit here to deepen the indulgent feel. These are the fillings that give the surface its soft, expensive-feeling finish.
Comfort Layer - British Wool
Layers of British wool provide snug, cushioned comfort. Wool also regulates temperature naturally, which helps across the seasons.
Support Layer - Mini Pocket Springs
24,300 mini springs create many more points of contact with your body. That means comfort delivered exactly where you need it, with less of the hammocking a coarser spring layer can cause.
Support Layer - Cortec Quad Springs
700 of Harrison Spinks' award-winning Cortec Quad springs form the core, secured in groups of four within one fabric pocket. This grouped design gives responsive, stable support at the base of the mattress.

- Space to spread out alone: At 120cm wide, the UK small double gives one sleeper generous room to move across that soft to medium surface without a bigger frame swallowing the bedroom.
- Fits compact double rooms: It sits 15cm narrower than a UK double, which often decides whether a box room, loft conversion or studio still has walking space beside the bed.
- Precise support for one: The 24,300 mini springs above 700 Cortec Quad springs adapt to a single body closely, so a solo sleeper feels cushioned exactly where they press in.
- Natural fillings that breathe: Cotton, hemp, flax, British wool, mohair and cashmere wick moisture rather than trapping warmth, welcome when a smaller room heats up quickly.
- Standard 4ft bedding: Small double is a common UK size, so fitted sheets and frames are easy to find, and a standard double duvet covers it comfortably.
This size suits you if...
You sleep alone and have outgrown a UK single but your room cannot take a full double, or you're furnishing a guest room where couples stay for the odd weekend rather than every night. It also fits a teenager who needs more width without giving up floor space, and downsizers whose new bedroom simply will not accommodate the bed from the old house.
Consider another size if...
You share the bed every night, because 120cm across two adults leaves little room to move. We'd recommend the UK double instead: it's 15cm wider, the same length, and needs a room of at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

How big is the Diamond 25000 in a small double?
The UK small double measures 120 x 190cm, or 4ft x 6ft 3in. That's 30cm wider than a UK single at the same length, so a solo adult gets noticeably more room to spread out. The mattress itself is 32cm deep, so check your fitted sheets have enough depth before buying.
What room size do I need for a small double Diamond 25000?
We suggest a room of at least 2.4m x 2.8m for a UK small double. That leaves enough space to walk around the bed and open drawers or a wardrobe. Since this mattress needs turning seasonally, a little clearance on both sides makes that job considerably easier in a compact room.
Can two people sleep on the Diamond 25000 small double every night?
For occasional guest room stays, yes, a couple will manage comfortably enough on the soft, cushioned surface. As a nightly bed for two, 120cm is tight, and the gentle feel means you'll settle into your own dip rather than spreading naturally. Couples sharing full time should look at the UK double, which is 15cm wider.
Is the small double Diamond 25000 difficult to turn?
It's a double-sided design with a summer surface, so seasonal turning is part of ownership. Harrison Spinks doesn't publish a weight for this size, but at 32cm deep with dense natural fillings it will be heavy. The UK small double's narrower 120cm width does make it slightly more manageable than the larger sizes, ideally with two people.
Where can I buy the Harrison Spinks Diamond 25000 in a small double?
Compare the retailers listed on this page. The prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, so it's worth checking back if you're not ready to buy today. Availability in a UK small double can differ from the more common sizes, which is another reason to rely on the live table rather than a search elsewhere.
