Layer Details
- Top comfort layer. Silk forms the uppermost comfort layer. It's soft in texture and light in weight, which means a gentle, smooth surface directly beneath you.
- Natural fillings blend. Cashmere, a rare filling that's softer and finer than wool, adds a second layer of plush comfort. It's the sort of material usually reserved for high-end products.
- Natural fillings blend. Swaledale, golden fleece, rare breed and indigenous wools provide natural cushioning. Wool also helps regulate temperature, so you're less likely to overheat.
- Natural fillings blend. A further blend of cashmere, Yorkshire wool, silk and British wool cradles the body. This deepens the soft, enveloping feel the mattress is built around.
- Natural fillings blend. Cotton, hemp and flax, harvested from Harrison Spinks' own Yorkshire farm, keep the sleep surface feeling fresh. Growing fillings on their own land is unusual in the industry.
- Spring system. Up to 3,000 specialist Cortec Quad Springs with glue-free construction work alongside HD 3,000 Micro and triple layers of HD 4,000 Micro Springs. Layered micro springs respond to smaller movements, which means more precise, contouring support.
- Natural fillings blend (duplicate). All fillings are duplicated on the other side of the Cortec spring unit, making this a genuinely double-sided, flippable mattress. Regular flipping spreads the wear and can extend its lifespan.
- Cover. A wool viscose cover finishes the mattress, free of FR chemical treatments. That keeps the sleep surface breathable and refreshing.

- Proper space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can both settle into the soft, cradling fillings without meeting in the middle.
- Less partner disturbance: Layered micro springs respond to smaller movements, so if one of you leaves for work hours before the other, the sleeper left behind feels less of it.
- Length for taller sleepers: The 200cm length, that's 5ft x 6ft 6in in old money, gives anyone approaching six foot room to stretch out on the silk-topped surface.
- Flippable across the full king footprint: Every filling layer is duplicated on both sides, so turning the mattress spreads wear evenly over the whole 150 x 200cm surface.
- Natural temperature control at scale: Wool, silk and cashmere breathe better than synthetic foams, useful when two bodies share one bed all night.
This size suits you if...
You're a couple who has outgrown a smaller bed and wants soft, natural-filled comfort with enough width that neither of you disturbs the other, or one of you is on the tall side and needs the 200cm length. It also suits shared beds with an extra occupant, a dog with strong opinions about its share of the mattress included, provided your room meets our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls below our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone and don't need 150cm of width. This mattress is only made in a UK king, so a smaller room means choosing a different mattress rather than a different size.

Is the Harrison Spinks Pearl 30000 only available in a UK king?
Yes, the UK king (150 x 200cm) is the only size listed for this mattress. If your room or budget points to a smaller size, you'll need a different model, but if a king was your plan anyway, the size on this page is the one to compare prices on.
What room size do I need for the Pearl 30000 in a UK king?
We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, and that's our guidance rather than the manufacturer's. Allow a little extra clearance too: at 36cm deep and double-sided, this mattress needs regular flipping, which is far easier with space to move around the bed.
Is a UK king Pearl 30000 long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, or 5ft x 6ft 6in in imperial, the UK king gives taller sleepers meaningful legroom. For anyone around the six foot mark, that length is often the real reason to upgrade, with the width a welcome bonus rather than the whole point.
How much space do two people get in this king size mattress?
Two people sharing get 75cm of width each. On a soft mattress like the Pearl 30000, where the fillings cradle you rather than holding you on top, that personal space helps each sleeper settle into their own spot without rolling towards a partner.
How heavy is the UK king version to flip?
Harrison Spinks doesn't publish a weight for this mattress. It's 36cm deep, hand-built with natural fillings and delivered flat rather than rolled, so expect a substantial mattress in a king. We'd suggest two people for flipping, which the double-sided design asks of you regularly.
