- 75cm each for two people sharing: A UK king gives each sleeper 75cm of width, which means you can both change position without negotiating for territory.
- Pocket springs reduce partner disturbance: Pocket springs move independently, so if one of you gets up hours before the other, the sleeping partner feels far less of it.
- 200cm length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, which means anyone approaching 6ft finally gets their feet on the mattress rather than off the end.
- Zip and link halves ease delivery: The mattress arrives in two halves that zip together, a real advantage for narrow staircases, since a one-piece king at 33cm deep would be a struggle.
- Pillowtop comfort without a separate topper: The padded pillowtop is stitched to the surface, so the plush feel covers the full 150cm width with no topper sliding around between you.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel cramped, especially if one of you is over 6ft and needs the 200cm length. It also fits if you and your partner keep different hours and want pocket springs plus generous width to soften the disruption, or if the dog has become a permanent third occupant and you need space to absorb that.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls below our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone and would rather spend less on a smaller footprint. This mattress is only made in a UK king, so a different size means a different model.

Is the Pure Grande Zip and Link available in any size other than UK king?
No. This mattress is currently listed only in a UK king, 150 x 200cm. If your room or budget points to a smaller size, or you want the extra width of a UK super king, you would need to look at a different model. The prices shown on this page are updated as retailers change them.
How much space does a UK king give each person on this mattress?
Two people sharing get 75cm of width each across the 150cm surface. Combined with pocket springs that compress independently, that spacing means one restless sleeper, or a partner leaving for an early shift, is much less likely to wake the other.
Will the zip and link king fit up a narrow staircase?
This is one of the strongest reasons to choose it. The mattress splits into two zipped halves, so each piece is far narrower than a full 150cm king. A one-piece mattress at 33cm deep is genuinely awkward on tight turns; the two-half design largely removes that problem.
What room size do you need for this king mattress?
We suggest a bedroom of at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with around 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. That allows walking space on both sides and room for wardrobes. New build master bedrooms often measure smaller than they appear once furniture goes in, so check your floor plan carefully first.
Is a UK king long enough for someone over 6ft?
At 200cm, the UK king is 10cm longer than a UK double, and that extra length is often the change tall sleepers actually notice. Someone around 6ft has clear space above and below, so heels no longer hang over the edge under the pillowtop surface.
