- 75cm each for two people sharing: You each get 75cm of width, which means turning over or stretching out without negotiating for space with your partner.
- Less disturbance on different schedules: Pocket springs respond individually, so if one of you gets up hours before the other, the early riser's movement is far less likely to travel across the bed.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, a real difference if either of you is approaching six foot.
- Two halves, one big bed: A one-piece 33cm mattress at king width is awkward on narrow stairs; this one arrives as two zip-together halves, which makes delivery day genuinely easier.
- Softer surface, supportive core: The pillowtop gives a gently cushioned feel over the medium firm springs, so the extra space comes with comfort rather than a board-like surface.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want more personal room than a UK double gives, especially if one of you keeps earlier hours and the other is a light sleeper. It also suits couples where one partner is tall enough that feet reach the end of a standard-length mattress, or households where the dog has claimed a permanent spot and 135cm no longer stretches far enough.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK king, or you sleep alone and don't need this much bed. This mattress isn't made in any other size, so you'd need a different model entirely.

Will a UK king version of the Pure Grande fit up narrow stairs?
More easily than most mattresses this size. The zip and link design means the UK king arrives as two separate halves that join together, so you're carrying two narrower sections rather than wrestling a single 150cm wide, 33cm deep mattress around tight landings and doorways.
Is the Pure Grande in a UK king good for couples on different schedules?
It's a sensible match. The pocket springs move independently rather than as one unit, and with 75cm each for two people sharing there's enough distance between you that an early alarm or a late return to bed is less likely to wake the other person.
How much room does the Pure Grande UK king need?
The mattress itself is 150 x 200cm, and we suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can walk around the bed and open drawers comfortably. In a compact new build master, measure with the wardrobes in before committing, as these rooms often feel smaller once furnished.
Is a UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, the UK king gives 10cm more length than the UK double, which is often the difference between feet hanging off the end and sleeping comfortably. For tall sleepers, that extra length can matter more than the added width.
Can you separate the two halves of the UK king?
Yes. The two halves zip together to form one 150 x 200cm bed and unzip when you need them apart, useful if your needs differ from your partner's or you want to move the mattress in manageable pieces. Zipped up, it sleeps as a single continuous surface.
