- Cover. A fire-retardant, chemical treatment-free wool-blend cover woven in-house, which means fewer added treatments against your skin. It's hand-tufted and finished with two rows of hand-side stitching, so the edges stay supportive right to the sides and you can use the full sleeping surface.
- Fillings. Responsibly sourced, fully traceable British wool sits alongside hemp and flax grown on the Harrison Spinks farm. Premium cotton adds natural cooling and moisture control, which should help if you tend to sleep warm under natural fibres.
- Spring system. The Advanced Cortec Quad system combines 1,000 Posturfil pocket springs with layers of 2,500 and 4,000 high-density micro springs, totalling 8,250 in the king size. In practice that means the larger springs handle deep support while the micro springs contour closely to your shape.

- Space for two who sleep differently: With 75cm each for two people sharing, one of you can get up hours before the other without a wrestle over territory.
- Zip and link cuts partner disturbance: The two halves are separate constructions zipped together, which means movement on one side travels less than it would across a single continuous spring unit.
- Different firmness on each half: The dual tension option lets a king-sized bed hold two feels at once, so a disagreement over firmness stops being a compromise.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, or 5ft x 6ft 6in in old money, it gives anyone approaching six foot room to stretch without their feet hanging over.
- Full use of the king width: Hand-side stitching keeps the edges supportive, so you can sleep right to the border of your 75cm rather than drifting to the middle.
This size suits you if...
You're a couple who've outgrown a double and want proper personal space, especially if one of you leaves for work hours before the other and you'd rather not feel every movement. It also suits you if one partner is approaching six foot and length, rather than width, is the real upgrade, or if the dog has become a permanent third occupant and a double no longer stretches to everyone.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you need any size other than a UK king. This mattress is made in one size only, so a smaller or larger room means looking at a different model.

What size room do I need for the Pure Sensation in a UK king?
We suggest a bedroom of at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with around 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. That allowance matters in a new build master, which can feel smaller than the floor plan suggests once wardrobes and bedside tables are in. Measure with the furniture in place, and check you can walk both sides of the bed.
Is the Harrison Spinks Pure Sensation available in sizes other than UK king?
No. This mattress is currently listed in UK king only, at 150 x 200cm. If you need a double, super king or anything else, you'll have to consider a different mattress. For most couples upgrading from a double, though, the UK king is the size they were shopping for anyway: 15cm wider and 10cm longer.
Can each half of the UK king be a different firmness?
Yes. Because it's a zip and link design, the UK king is made as two halves that zip together, and the dual tension option builds each half to a different feel. One of you can have medium and the other firm on the same 150cm-wide bed, which is rare at this size.
How much space does each person get on this king mattress?
Two people sharing get 75cm of width each across the 150cm surface. The hand-side stitched edges help here: the sides stay supportive rather than sloping away, so you can genuinely use your full share. If a dog routinely claims a corner, that extra width over a double is what stops someone sleeping on the seam of the duvet.
Is the UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, it's 10cm longer than a UK double, and that extra length is often the difference between feet on the mattress and feet in mid-air for anyone around the six foot mark. Someone comfortably over 6ft 3in or so may still find it a little snug, but for most tall sleepers it's a real improvement.
