- Room for two proper sleep schedules: With 75cm each for two people sharing, an early riser can slip out without clambering over a partner still asleep on their own side.
- Pocket springs limit disturbance: Each spring moves independently, which means a partner turning over at 3am registers far less on your side of a bed this wide.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, which matters far more than width if one of you is nearing six foot.
- Zip and link makes a big bed manageable: A UK king is an awkward object to move, but this one splits into two halves, so tight staircases and narrow landings stop being a problem.
- Space to share with a dog: If a dog treats the foot of the bed as its own, the UK king's extra width means you both keep a reasonable share.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and have outgrown the elbow-to-elbow feel of a smaller size, one of you is approaching six foot and wants the 200cm length, or your mornings run on different clocks and you want a partner's alarm and exit to pass you by. The width also absorbs a pet's nightly land grab without anyone losing their side.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum, or you sleep alone and don't need the width. This mattress is only made in a UK king, so a tighter room means choosing a different model rather than a smaller size.

Is a UK king wide enough for two adults sharing every night?
Comfortably, for most couples. The 150cm width gives 75cm each for two people sharing, which is enough for each of you to change position without nudging the other, especially on a pocket spring mattress like this one, where each spring compresses independently and movement stays on its own side.
How much bedroom space does the pure sensation need in a UK king?
We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, which leaves walking room on both sides and space to make the bed. In a new build master bedroom, measure with the wardrobes in place rather than the empty floor plan, as fitted storage eats into that allowance quickly.
Does zip and link make a UK king easier to get upstairs?
Yes, and it's one of the strongest practical arguments for this mattress in a UK king. The mattress comes as two halves that zip together, so instead of wrestling a full 150 x 200cm unit around a stairwell, you carry each half separately and join them in the bedroom.
Is a UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
Usually, yes. The UK king is 200cm long, 10cm longer than the UK double, so a sleeper around six foot gains genuine clearance rather than having their feet at the edge. For couples where one partner is tall, the extra length is often the real upgrade, with the width a bonus.
Where can I buy the pure sensation in a UK king?
Availability shifts, so the most reliable answer is the live comparison on this page: the prices shown here are updated as retailers change them. Harrison Spinks sits at the traditional, hand-built end of the market, so expect it through specialist bed retailers rather than the big online-only names.
