- Cover. A wool-blend cover woven in-house that is fire-retardant without chemical treatments. That means natural fire safety rather than sprayed-on chemicals next to your skin.
- Fillings. Responsibly sourced, fully traceable British wool, hemp and flax grown on the Harrison Spinks farm, alongside soft cotton. Wool and cotton breathe well, which helps regulate temperature through the night.
- Micro springs. A layer of 2,500 high-density micro springs providing pressure relief and cushioning. These small springs contour to your body more precisely than fillings alone, easing pressure at the hips and shoulders.
- Pocket spring system. The award-winning Advanced Cortec Revolution Quad pocket spring system with a spring-within-a-spring design. In practice, this gives dynamic support that adapts as you change position rather than one fixed feel.

- Space that does the work: With 90cm each for two people sharing, a fidgety partner is simply further away, which matters more than any comfort layer.
- A big mattress that fits up small stairs: The zip and link design splits into two halves, so tight landings and awkward turns stop being a reason to rule out a super king.
- Room for night-time visitors: When a child or the dog wanders in at 3am, the full 6ft of width means everyone still gets a workable share of the bed.
- 11,000 springs across a wider bed: The spring-within-a-spring system supports each sleeper independently, so movement on one side of a super king barely registers on the other.
- Natural fillings that breathe: British wool, hemp, flax and cotton help regulate temperature, useful when more bodies than planned end up under one duvet.
This size suits you if...
You share every night and want genuine distance from a restless partner, your household routinely includes children or a large dog joining you before morning, or your bedroom is generous enough that a UK king would look undersized against the wall. We suggest allowing at least 3m x 2.9m of floor space for this size.
Consider another size if...
Your room falls short of the 3m x 2.9m we suggest, or the extra width would crowd out bedside tables and wardrobe doors. The UK king would suit you better; allow at least 2.7m x 2.9m for that size.

Does the Pure Splendour super king split into two pieces?
Yes. The zip and link construction means the UK super king arrives as two halves that zip together, so it can be carried up narrow staircases and round tight landing turns that would defeat a one-piece mattress of this width. Once zipped, it sleeps as a single 180 x 200cm surface.
What room size do I need for the Pure Splendour in a super king?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, with around 3.5m x 3.2m feeling comfortable once you add bedside tables on both sides and space to open wardrobe doors. Before ordering, check door swing and the turn on your landing too, although the two zip and link halves make delivery much more forgiving.
Is the super king Pure Splendour good for restless couples?
It is one of the better cases for this size. You each get 90cm of width, and the Advanced Cortec Revolution Quad pocket springs respond to each body separately rather than transmitting movement across the bed. The combination of distance and independent support means a partner who shifts all night becomes much easier to sleep through.
Is this size worth it if children or pets share the bed?
If that happens regularly, yes. The full 6ft of width means a child climbing in during the night, or a large dog treating the bed as their own, doesn't leave one adult clinging to the edge. The natural wool and cotton fillings also breathe well when there are more bodies generating heat than usual.
Should I choose the super king or the UK king Pure Splendour?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length. That extra width is what buys undisturbed sleep for two, so choose it if your room allows at least 3m x 2.9m. In a smaller room, the UK king is the sensible call, with at least 2.7m x 2.9m allowed for it.
