Contouring memory foam
A memory foam that adapts to your body and movements. It gives a cushioned, hugging feel at the surface.
Serene foam

Key benefits
- Leaves room for everything else: At 90cm wide, the UK single gives a child's bedroom space for a desk and a wardrobe without the bed taking over the floor.
- A comfortable match for lighter sleepers: Children and slim teens rarely press deep into a mattress, so a medium soft surface gives them some cushioning where a firm one might feel hard.
- Two can sit side by side: In a guest room or a shared children's bedroom, a pair of UK singles leaves a walkway between them in a way two larger beds would not.
- Fits under a sloping ceiling: The narrow footprint lets you tuck the bed lengthways along the low side of a loft conversion and keep the full-height area free to stand in.
- Easy bedding to find: Standard single sheets fit, and a single duvet at 135 x 200cm covers it, so you won't be hunting for unusual sizes.
This size suits you if...
You're buying for a child or teenager who sleeps alone and prefers some give in the mattress, or you're furnishing a spare room or student flat where floor space is tight. It also suits you if you need two beds in one room and want a walkway between them.
Consider another size if...
You're a heavier adult who sprawls, or you want room to turn over freely. We'd recommend the UK small double instead, which is the same length, and we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for it.

FAQ's
Will the Hyde & Sleep Hybrid Juniper UK single fit a bunk bed or cabin bed?
The UK single is 90 x 190cm, which is the standard size most bunk, cabin and mid sleeper frames are built around. Hyde & Sleep doesn't publish a depth for this mattress, though. Raised frames have a maximum mattress depth so the guard rail still does its job, so check the frame maker's limit and the brand's own guidance before buying.
Is a UK single Hybrid Juniper big enough for an adult?
For one adult it can work. It's 90cm wide and 190cm long, the same length as the UK double. Taller adults may prefer the UK king, which is 10cm longer. Restless sleepers who spread out will probably find 3ft of width a little narrow.
What size bedroom do I need for a UK single mattress?
We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space. That leaves room to walk round the bed and open a wardrobe, even in a small child's bedroom or a box room.
Should I choose a single or small double Hybrid Juniper for a guest room?
If you want two beds so friends or siblings can stay, two UK singles make more sense. If guests usually come as a couple, or you only have space for one bed, the UK small double is 30cm wider and we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for it.
Is the Hyde & Sleep Hybrid Juniper single a good choice for a teenager?
For many teenagers, yes. It's medium soft, which tends to suit lighter frames and side sleepers who like to sink in slightly. A teen who sleeps on their front, or who is already heavily built, may find it too yielding and would be better with something firmer.
