- 75cm each for two sharing: Two sleepers get 75cm of width apiece, which means fewer elbows and less negotiating over the middle of the bed.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: At 200cm long, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, a difference anyone approaching 6ft feels at the footboard.
- A firm surface that limits partner disturbance: The firm hybrid build transfers less movement than a softer surface, which means one of you getting up at 5am is less likely to wake the other.
- 15cm wider than a UK double: The UK king is 15cm wider than the UK double, and that extra width is felt every night rather than only on paper.
- Room to shift position comfortably: During pregnancy or recovery from surgery, when you're propping pillows and changing position often, the extra width means you can do it without crowding your partner.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and have outgrown the width of a double, or your partner keeps different hours and you want their comings and goings to disturb you less. It also fits if one of you is approaching 6ft and it's length you're really after, or if you're furnishing a decent-sized master bedroom: we suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you need any size other than a UK king. Hypnos lists the Bespoke Crystal Firm in this size only, so there's no smaller or larger option to point you towards.

Is a UK king big enough for a couple with different schedules?
Yes, and it's arguably the situation this size handles best. With 75cm of width each, the person leaving hours earlier has room to slip out from their own side, and the firm hybrid surface of the Bespoke Crystal Firm transfers less movement than a softer mattress would. The sleeper left behind is less likely to notice.
Is the Hypnos Bespoke Crystal Firm king long enough for someone over 6ft?
At 200cm, the UK king gives you 10cm more length than a UK double, which matters more than width if one of you is tall. Someone over 6ft still has usable clearance before their feet reach the end. If length is the reason you're upgrading, this size delivers it.
What room size do I need for the Hypnos Bespoke Crystal Firm in a UK king?
We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m, with 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. Measure after wardrobes and drawers are accounted for: a new build master can be smaller than it looks once furniture is in. You'll want space to walk down both sides and open doors fully.
Does the Hypnos Bespoke Crystal Firm come in sizes other than UK king?
No. The UK king, at 150 x 200cm, is currently the only size listed for this mattress. If your room or budget points you towards a double or a super king, you'd need a different model entirely, so it's sensible to confirm the king suits your space before going further.
Where can I buy the Hypnos Bespoke Crystal Firm in a UK king?
Availability for this mattress is narrow, so the simplest route is to compare the retailers listed on this page. The prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, which means you're seeing current stock rather than a snapshot that may have gone stale.
