- Pillow top. A built-in cushioning pillow top with Red Tractor-assured wool, dual-density layers, latex and Himalayan allo nettle. This gives you that plush, sink-in surface feel without needing a separate topper.
- Main filling. Red Tractor-assured wool and latex sit alongside super-strong linen-like fibres from the Himalayan allo nettle plant, soft, fluffy and buoyant kapok fibres, and sustainable recycled fibres. These natural materials breathe well, which means less of the heat build-up you can get with foam.
- Springs. ReActivePro 10-turn pocket springs, 1,800 of them, promote spinal alignment and relieve pressure. Each spring moves independently, so you feel less of a partner's movement across the bed.
- Cover. A fire-resistant, chemical-free unbleached cotton ticking. A natural finish that suits anyone wanting to avoid chemical treatments next to their skin.

- 75cm each, every night: Two people sharing get 75cm of width apiece, enough room to prop pillows and change position through pregnancy or recovery without disturbing the person beside you.
- Zip and link, easier to move: The UK king arrives as two halves that join together, so a 34cm-deep mattress can still make it up a narrow staircase or round a tight landing.
- A tension for each side: Because the two halves link, you can pair medium on one side with soft on the other, something a one-piece UK king can't do.
- 200cm of length: At 6ft 6in long, the UK king adds real legroom, a relief if either of you is approaching six foot and used to feet hanging off a standard-length bed.
- Movement stays on their side: With 1,800 pocket springs responding independently across 150cm of width, an early alarm or a restless night is far less likely to travel to your half.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and have outgrown the width of a double, especially if one of you keeps different hours or is a light sleeper. It also suits couples who want different tensions on each side, which the zip and link halves make possible, and taller sleepers who need the 200cm length rather than the 190cm of a standard double.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone and don't need 150cm of width. The Bespoke Ruby is listed in UK king only, so a smaller size of this mattress isn't an option.

Is the Hypnos Bespoke Ruby available in sizes other than UK king?
Not at present. This mattress is currently listed in UK king only, so if your room or budget points to a double or you want the extra width of a super king, you'd need to look at a different Hypnos model. The prices shown on this page are updated as retailers change them.
Can each half of the UK king have a different firmness?
Yes. The zip and link construction means the UK king comes as two halves that join together, and Hypnos offers medium or soft support. A couple can pick a different tension for each side, so a partner who likes a softer feel doesn't have to compromise. Neither half is available in firm.
What room size do I need for the Bespoke Ruby in a UK king?
We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, with 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they first appear once wardrobes and bedside tables go in, so measure the floor space that's actually left before committing to a 150 x 200cm mattress.
Is the UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
At 200cm, or 6ft 6in, the UK king gives a sleeper over six foot genuine clearance at the foot of the bed. The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, and for many taller sleepers that length is the real reason to upgrade, with the extra width a welcome bonus.
Will a UK king zip and link fit up a narrow staircase?
More easily than a one-piece UK king. Because the Bespoke Ruby arrives as two halves that zip together, each section is far narrower than the full 150cm width, which helps with tight turns, small landings and loft conversions. At 34cm deep it's a substantial mattress, so the split construction is a practical advantage here.
