Key benefits
- More room each: Sharing a UK king gives you 75cm each, which is 7.5cm more per person than the UK double, enough to stop elbows and knees colliding.
- Extra length: At 200cm long, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, which means taller sleepers can stretch out instead of curling up.
- Space between different body clocks: If one of you is up hours before the other, the extra 15cm of width over a UK double puts a little more distance between you as they slip out.
- Arrives rolled: The UK king comes vacuum packed in a box, so a full-width mattress can still get up a narrow staircase and through a tight bedroom door.
- A washable cover across a bigger bed: The removable cover can go in the wash, which helps on a 5ft x 6ft 6in surface that two people use every night.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and feel cramped on a double, one of you is over six foot and keeps running out of length, or your alarms go off at very different times and you'd like a bit more distance when one partner gets up early.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m once wardrobes are in. We'd recommend the UK double instead, for which we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

FAQ's
What are the dimensions of the Komfi Unity Comfort Luxury king size?
The UK king measures 150 x 200cm, which is 5ft x 6ft 6in in imperial. It's 20cm deep, the same depth as the other sizes of this mattress, so check that any fitted sheet you buy is made for that depth.
How much space does each person get on a Komfi Unity king size mattress?
Two people sharing a UK king get 75cm each. On the UK double you'd have 67.5cm each, so the UK king gives you 7.5cm more per person. That sounds small on paper, but it's the gap that stops you brushing against each other every time someone turns over.
Is a UK king long enough for someone over 6ft?
The UK king is 200cm long, 10cm longer than the UK double. If one of you is close to or over 6ft, that extra length is often a bigger change than the added width, because your feet stop hanging at the end.
What size bedroom do I need for a UK king Komfi Unity?
We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m, and 3.2m x 3.2m feels comfortable. New build master bedrooms can feel much smaller once fitted wardrobes and bedside tables go in, so measure the floor space you'll actually have left.
What size duvet fits a Komfi Unity king size mattress?
Go for king size bedding. A 230 x 220cm king duvet fits the UK king, and king fitted sheets will match the 150 x 200cm surface. Choose sheets deep enough for the 20cm mattress so the corners stay put.
