Layer Details
- Luna Fusion Cool Memory Foam. A 2cm layer with an open cell structure, which means better airflow and a cooler feel than standard memory foam. It adapts around your body for a cosy, cradled comfort.
- Reflex Foam. A 3cm layer of reflex foam that adds cushioning. This is part of what gives the mattress its plush feel.
- Reflex Foam. A second, deeper 5cm reflex foam layer continuing that soft cushioning. Together the two layers create the plush surface the name promises.
- Mini Pocket Springs. A layer of 2,000 mini springs sitting between the foam and the main spring core. These add breathability and a gently bouncy feel.
- Luna Pocket Springs. The core of 4,000 Luna Pocket springs, each encased in its own fabric pocket. Every spring moves independently, which means support tailored to your shape and less disturbance from a restless partner.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- Distance plus isolation: The 4,000 individually pocketed springs reduce movement passing across the bed, and at 6ft wide there's simply further for any disturbance to travel.
- 90cm each, every night: Two sharers each get 90cm of width, so one person's cradled memory foam dip doesn't become the other person's slope.
- Room for visitors: Children padding in at 3am, or a dog that treats the bed as its own, cost you far less space when the mattress is 180cm wide.
- Cooler at scale: The open cell memory foam layer breathes better than standard memory foam, which helps when three or four warm bodies end up under one duvet.
- Same length as a UK king: At 200cm long, sizing up from a UK king buys you 30cm of width without needing a longer bed frame.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the most width you can buy from a standard UK range, your partner shifts around and you'd rather solve it with distance as well as pocket springs, or children and pets regularly join you and a UK king has started to feel crowded. Your room should measure at least 3m x 2.9m, and ideally around 3.5m x 3.2m.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum for a UK super king. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower, exactly the same length, and needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

Is the Luna 6000 super king big enough for a family sharing?
It's the most realistic size for it. At 180 x 200cm, two adults each keep 90cm even before a child squeezes in, and the pocket spring core means small visitors climbing aboard disturb the far side less than you'd expect. It won't feel roomy with two children in it, but everyone gets a workable share.
What size room does the Luna 6000 need in a UK super king?
We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m, and around 3.5m x 3.2m feels comfortable, leaving space to walk both sides and open drawers or wardrobe doors. This is our guidance rather than Luna's. In a loft conversion, check the ceiling slope too: a 6ft wide bed limits which wall it can sit against.
How much bigger is the super king Luna 6000 than the king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and both are the same 200cm length. That extra width goes entirely to elbow room, so if a UK king already fits your frame length-wise, the only new question is whether your room takes the wider footprint.
Will the super king size help with a restless partner?
This is where the size and the construction pull in the same direction. Each of the 4,000 pocket springs moves independently, so turning over transmits less through the mattress, and with 90cm of width apiece your partner's movement happens further away. If disturbance is your main complaint, this size is the stronger choice over the UK king.
Is the Luna 6000 super king a good choice if a dog shares the bed?
A large dog claims a surprising amount of mattress, and at 180cm wide this size absorbs that better than any smaller option. The open cell memory foam also helps with the extra warmth an animal adds. Do factor in the cleaning and bedding costs that come with super king sheets and a 260 x 220cm duvet.
