Pillow top
An additional layer of comfort sitting at the very top of the mattress. It adds extra cushioning, which means a softer first feel as you lie down.
Comfort layer
A fine blend of wool, cotton, silk and cashgora. These natural fibres give the surface its soft, cushioned feel.
Support core
Durable ergonomic pocket springs together with Comfonomic micro springs. This is the part that holds you up beneath the softer layers above.

Key benefits
- Room to spread out: Each sleeper gets 90cm, the same width as a UK single, so two adults can lie on their sides without knees or elbows meeting.
- Distance from a restless partner: A pillow top cushions you, but distance does more for a partner who kicks or turns all night, and the UK super king gives you the most of it.
- Space for late-night visitors: If a child or the dog climbs in, there is still a usable strip for each adult rather than everyone clinging to the edges.
- Steadier edges across the full width: The triple secured border means the outer few centimetres feel firmer to sit or lie on, so more of the 180cm width is usable sleeping space.
- Fills a large master bedroom: In a period property or a generous master, a UK super king looks proportionate where a UK king can look a little lost.
- Turning handles on a big surface: It is single-sided and cannot be flipped, but the handles help two people rotate it head to foot, which is a real two-person job at this size.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed with a partner whose tossing and turning wakes you, your children or a large dog regularly end up in bed with you, or you have a big master bedroom where anything smaller would look undersized.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than 3m x 2.9m, or narrow doors and tight landing turns would make delivery a struggle. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

FAQ's
Will a Millbrook Smooth Tech 5000 Pillowtop UK super king fit my bedroom?
We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m for a UK super king, and around 3.5m x 3.2m will feel comfortable, with room to walk round both sides and open a wardrobe. In a loft conversion, check the sloping ceiling first, because it often decides which wall the bed can go against.
Is a UK super king better than a UK king for a restless partner?
It gives you more distance, which is what helps most. The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length, so each of you gets 15cm more. If your room cannot meet our suggested 3m x 2.9m, the UK king needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.
Can two adults and a child sleep on a UK super king Millbrook pillowtop?
Yes, more comfortably than on any smaller size. Two adults get 90cm each, and a small child in the middle takes some of that, but nobody ends up on the edge. The medium soft pillow top suits lighter bodies well, although heavier adults may find it a little too yielding.
What size sheets and duvet fit the Millbrook Smooth Tech 5000 Pillowtop super king?
You will need UK super king fitted sheets, and a 260 x 220cm duvet gives enough overhang for two people. The mattress is 32cm deep, so choose deep-pocket fitted sheets. Bedding at this size costs more than king bedding, so include it in your budget.
Will a UK super king pillowtop mattress get up my stairs?
Millbrook doesn't publish a weight for this mattress or say whether it arrives rolled, so plan for a full-size 180 x 200cm mattress. Before ordering, measure the front door, the tightest landing turn and how your bedroom door swings. Compare the retailers listed on this page and check their delivery details.
