Natural fillings
Hampshire wool, cashgora wool, silk and soft English spun cotton, held in place by hand tufting. They give a soft, cushioned top without foam.
Inner pocket springs
1000 inner pocket springs, each in its own cloth sleeve. They form the supportive core under the fillings.
Mini pocket tablet springs
2000 mini pocket tablet springs sit on both sides of the mattress. They add support and comfort whichever side you sleep on.

Key benefits
- Soft enough for lighter bodies: Children and teenagers usually weigh less than adults, which means the medium soft wool and silk fillings give them gentle cushioning without feeling slack underneath.
- Leaves floor space for everything else: At 3ft x 6ft 3in, we suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m, so a desk, wardrobe and toy storage can still share a small bedroom.
- Easier to flip on your own: Being double sided, it needs turning now and then, and the narrower UK single is a far more manageable job for one person than the larger sizes.
- Suits a spare room that doubles as an office: A single bed sits along one wall and leaves the rest of the room for a desk, while the natural fillings give occasional guests a comfortable night.
- Two can furnish a guest room: If visitors often arrive as friends or siblings rather than couples, a pair of UK singles with a walkway between them may suit better than one larger bed.
This size suits you if...
You sleep alone and prefer a soft, cushioned bed made with natural fillings rather than foam, or you're furnishing a child's or teenager's room where the bed has to share limited floor space with a desk and wardrobe.
Consider another size if...
You want room to spread out, or the bed is shared some nights, because a UK single is made for one. The UK small double would suit you better; we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for it.

FAQ's
Will the Millbrook Wool Sublime Pocket 5000 single fit a bunk bed or cabin bed?
Possibly not. The mattress is 32cm deep, and raised frames such as bunks, cabin beds and mid sleepers often set a maximum mattress depth so the safety rail stays high enough above the sleeper. Millbrook doesn't publish frame guidance for this mattress, so check the bed maker's maximum depth before ordering.
What are the Millbrook Wool Sublime Pocket 5000 single dimensions in feet?
The UK single measures 3ft x 6ft 3in, which is 90 x 190cm. That matches the standard UK single frame, so it should drop into a typical single bedstead or divan base. The depth is 32cm whichever size you choose.
What size bedroom do I need for a UK single Millbrook Wool Sublime Pocket 5000?
We suggest at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space for a UK single. That leaves room to walk around the bed and open a wardrobe in most children's rooms, box rooms and student bedrooms. In a loft conversion, put the bed under the slope, where its narrow footprint uses space you couldn't otherwise stand in.
Is the Millbrook Wool Sublime Pocket 5000 single big enough for an adult?
For one adult, usually yes, although taller adults may find the 190cm length a little short. If length is the issue, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK single. Heavier adults should also bear in mind the medium soft rating, which can feel too yielding for some.
What bedding fits a Millbrook Wool Sublime Pocket 5000 single?
A single duvet (135 x 200cm) and single sheets fit the 90 x 190cm surface. Because the mattress is 32cm deep, look for fitted sheets sold as deep or extra deep, as a standard single fitted sheet may not tuck fully underneath.
