- BeFree® 3D mesh knit cover. A removable knit cover that Mysa says is 40% more breathable than standard knits of the same weight, which means less heat builds up around you overnight. It's machine-washable at 40°C, a small feature that makes a real difference over years of use.
- AeroSpheric HR-GX® graphite-infused foam. Open-cell foam infused with graphite spheres, claimed to deliver twice the cooling of regular graphite foam. It moulds to your body shape while wicking away excess moisture, so you get contouring without the warmth memory foam is known for.
- Microcoil® ergonomic support layer. Small individual open coils that conform closely to your body for targeted pressure relief. They're also highly breathable, adding another route for air to move through the mattress.
- AeroSync HR-GX® multi-zoned comfort foam. High-resilience polyurethane foam that contours across multiple pressure zones, which means cushioning where your hips and shoulders press down hardest. Mysa describes the effect as weightless-feeling.
- 5-zone pocket spring system. Individually pocketed springs that respond independently to your movements, giving orthopaedic-style support to key areas of your body. This is the layer doing most of the work to keep your spine aligned.
- Firm foam base layer. A high-density foam foundation beneath the springs. It gives the whole mattress a stable base to work from.

- A sensible fit for most UK bedrooms: At 135cm wide it leaves room for bedside tables on both sides in a typical room, where a wider bed would crowd everything against the walls.
- Cooling that counts double: Two people sharing means twice the body heat, and the graphite-infused foam and breathable microcoils help move that warmth away from both of you.
- Springs that ignore your partner: The 5-zone pocket springs respond independently to movement, which means one of you turning over at 3am is less likely to wake the other.
- Generous for one: Sleeping solo, you get the full 135cm to yourself, enough to spread out or share a corner with a cat who thinks the bed is theirs.
- Easy to dress and keep fresh: Standard double sheets and duvets are stocked everywhere, and the mesh cover unzips for a 40°C wash, useful on a bed that sees nightly use.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the traditional couples' size, your bedroom is a typical UK size where a wider bed would dominate the floor, or you sleep alone and want proper space to stretch out. It also suits a guest room that regularly hosts visiting couples, since the UK double is the size most guests expect.
Consider another size if...
Your room measures less than the 2.6m x 2.8m we suggest for a UK double, or you sleep alone and want to save floor space. The UK small double would suit you better; allow at least 2.4m x 2.8m for it.

Is the Mysa Glacier in a UK double big enough for a couple?
For most couples, yes. The UK double gives 67.5cm each for two people sharing, which is the long-standing standard for shared beds in the UK. If either of you is broad-shouldered or a restless sleeper you may notice the limit, but the pocket springs do reduce how much you feel each other's movement.
What room size do I need for the Mysa Glacier UK double?
We suggest a room of at least 2.6m x 2.8m for a UK double, with around 3m x 3m the comfortable norm. That allows walking space on both sides and room to open drawers and wardrobe doors, which matters in a first flat or second bedroom where the bed shares space with storage.
Does the Mysa Glacier come in a UK king?
No. The Mysa Glacier comes in UK small double and UK double only, so the UK double is the largest option. It's 15cm narrower and 10cm shorter than a UK king, and gives 7.5cm less width each for two sharing. If you're set on a king, you'll need a different mattress.
Should I choose the Mysa Glacier in a UK double or a UK small double?
Sharing every night, choose the UK double: it's 15cm wider than the UK small double, and the two are the same length. Sleeping solo in a compact room, the UK small double saves useful floor space. The cooling layers and medium-firm feel are identical in both, so it's purely a space decision.
Is a UK double Mysa Glacier a good choice for one person?
A generous one. You get the whole 135cm width to yourself, which is 45cm more than a UK single at the same 190cm length. That suits solo sleepers who spread out, or anyone who shares with a dog or cat that claims its own corner. The main cost is floor space in a smaller room.
