- Honeycomb Micro-Zoning technology. Precision-cut foam that offers different levels of support for your head, hips and legs. In practice, that means the mattress pushes back a little more where you carry more weight, helping keep your spine in a straighter line.
Layer details from nectarsleep.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 67.5cm each for two sharing: Two people get 67.5cm of width apiece, and the Honeycomb Micro-Zoning responds to each sleeper's weight separately, so a lighter partner isn't dragged into a heavier one's dip.
- Movement stays on their side: At this width you sleep close to your partner, and the all-foam construction absorbs their turning and fidgeting rather than bouncing it across to you.
- Fits most UK bedrooms: We suggest allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m, which means the UK double works in rooms where a larger size would leave no space for wardrobes or drawers.
- Room for bedside tables both sides: In a typical room of around 3m x 3m, the 135cm width leaves enough clearance for a table on each side, something a UK king often rules out.
- Easy, affordable bedding: Double sheets and a 200 x 200cm duvet are stocked everywhere at every price point, useful if you're kitting out a whole home at once.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and your room can't comfortably take anything wider, you sleep alone but want space to stretch out (or share with a cat who claims a corner), or you're furnishing a guest room that needs to sleep visiting couples without dominating the space.
Consider another size if...
You share with a partner and your bedroom measures at least 2.7m x 2.9m. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 15cm wider and 10cm longer, giving 75cm each rather than 67.5cm.

Is the Nectar Premier in a UK double big enough for a couple?
Yes, for most couples. You each get 67.5cm of width, the long standing UK standard for two sharing. The memory foam absorbs a restless partner's movement, which matters more at this width than in a larger size. Taller or broader couples with the room space may prefer the UK king, which gives 75cm each.
What room size do I need for the Nectar Premier double?
We suggest a minimum of 2.6m x 2.8m, with around 3m x 3m the comfortable norm. That's our own guidance, not Nectar's, and it allows walking space around the bed plus room for a wardrobe. If you also want bedside tables on both sides, the roomier end of that range is more realistic.
How much smaller is the Nectar Premier double than the king?
The UK double is 15cm narrower and 10cm shorter than the UK king, so two people sharing get 7.5cm less width each. In exchange, it fits rooms the UK king would dominate: we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, against 2.6m x 2.8m for the UK double.
Is a double Nectar Premier too big for one person?
Not at all. Sleeping solo on 135cm of width gives you generous room to spread out, and the slow, cradling memory foam feel means you settle wherever you land rather than rolling to the middle. It's a popular choice for solo sleepers who share with a dog or cat, since your movements won't disturb them either.
Can two people of different weights share the double Nectar Premier?
This is where the zoned foam helps. The precision-cut top layer pushes back more where you carry more weight, so each side supports its own sleeper rather than settling to an average. Combined with foam's motion absorption, a mismatch in weight or sleep schedule is less noticeable here than on many sprung doubles.
