- Double Sided Cover. A washable, double-sided cover in a thick 400g knit, which means a soft, plush feel against your skin. Being removable makes it far easier to keep clean over the years.
- FlexFoam Layer. A high density, durable FlexFoam layer that delivers the firm support level. This is what gives the mattress its solid, planted feel rather than a soft initial sink.
- Firm Encapsulated Pocket Springs. Large encapsulated pocket springs provide the firm rating, and because each spring moves independently, motion transfer is kept to a minimum. That means less disturbance when a partner turns over.
- Side Supports. Thick foam borders around the perimeter give you an edge-to-edge sleep surface and help prevent rolling out of bed. Useful if you sit on the edge to get dressed.
- High Density Support Foam. A layer of specially designed Reflex Foam sits above the springs to add comfort and extra support when the mattress is flipped to the firm side. It keeps that side supportive rather than punishing.

Is the Otty Extra Firm Hybrid king big enough for two adults?
Yes, comfortably for most couples. At 150 x 200cm you get 75cm each for two people sharing, and because the surface is rated 9/10 firm it stays level rather than dipping towards the heavier sleeper. That combination suits couples who found a softer, narrower mattress pushed them together overnight.
Will the king size help if my partner gets up earlier than me?
It helps on two fronts. The UK king is 15cm wider than the UK double, so there is simply more distance between you, and the encapsulated pocket springs move independently, which limits how much movement travels across the bed. An early alarm on one side is much less likely to reach the other.
Can I flip the Otty Extra Firm Hybrid king on my own?
We'd suggest two people. Otty doesn't publish a weight for this size, but a 150 x 200cm, 25cm deep hybrid with a full spring unit is heavy and awkward for one person to turn safely. Since flipping is how you switch between the 9/10 and 10/10 sides, plan it for when you're both home.
Is the king long enough for someone over six foot?
For most people, yes. The UK king runs to 200cm, which is 5ft x 6ft 6in in old money, and the firm surface means a taller sleeper's feet won't sink at the end of the mattress. Anyone unusually tall who also wants more width would need to look at the UK super king.

We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can walk round both sides and open doors and drawers freely. In a new build master that can be tighter than it sounds once wardrobes go in, so measure the clear floor space first. If it's marginal, the UK double is the safer fit.
