Key benefits
- Fits compact rooms: At 90cm wide it leaves floor space for a desk, wardrobe and toy storage in a child's bedroom, and we suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m.
- A guest bed that feels considered: In a spare room that spends most of the year as an office, the medium-firm 6.5/10 feel means occasional guests get proper support rather than an afterthought.
- Cool for growing sleepers: The bamboo and charcoal infused memory foam is designed to regulate temperature, useful for teenagers who run warm at night.
- Check depth on raised frames: This is a 25cm deep mattress, so measure the guard rail height before putting it on a bunk, cabin or mid sleeper frame.
- Quiet for shared rooms: The encapsulated pocket springs limit movement and noise, a small mercy where siblings sleep in the same room and one settles later than the other.
This size suits you if...
You're buying for a child or teenager and want a mattress that will last well beyond a cheap foam slab, you need a proper bed for a spare room that only hosts guests a few nights a year, or you sleep alone in a compact room, a student flat or under a loft slope where 90cm is the only width that fits.
Consider another size if...
You're an adult who spreads out at night, or two of you will ever share it. The UK small double gives a solo sleeper noticeably more room to move, and we'd recommend the UK double for couples.

FAQ's
How big is the Otty Pure Hybrid in a UK single?
The UK single is 90 x 190cm, which is 3ft x 6ft 3in. It's the standard one-person size in the UK, so it fits ordinary single bed frames, divans and slatted bases without any measuring headaches. Standard single sheets and a single duvet fit it as normal.
Will the UK single Otty Pure Hybrid fit a bunk bed or mid sleeper?
The footprint fits, since bunks and mid sleepers take standard UK single mattresses. The catch is depth: at 25cm this is a tall mattress, and many raised frames specify a maximum so the guard rail stays effective. Measure from the base to the top of the rail before you buy.
Is the Otty Pure Hybrid single a good choice for a child or teenager?
For older children and teens, yes. The medium-firm 6.5/10 support suits growing bodies, and the charcoal infused antibacterial cover is a sensible feature for a kid's room. Lighter children may find it slightly firm at first, as they won't sink into the memory foam as much as an adult would.
Is a UK single wide enough for an adult?
For many solo adults it works well, especially in a small bedroom, a student room or under a sloped loft ceiling. If you have the floor space, though, the UK small double is 30cm wider than the UK single, which makes a real difference if you move around in your sleep.
Where can I buy the Otty Pure Hybrid in a single?
Compare the retailers listed on this page. The prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, so it's worth checking the table rather than assuming buying direct from Otty is cheapest on the day. Single sizes are often discounted differently from doubles and kings.
