- Tencel™ Lyocell sleep surface. A silky, soft-touch material woven to allow airflow, which means heat is less likely to build up where your body meets the mattress. It also moves moisture away from you as you sleep.
- Platinum comfort layer. Silentnight says this layer is 10x more breathable than memory foam while offering the same pressure relief. In practice that should mean a cocooning, cushioned feel without the warmth memory foam is known for.
- British Wool Comfort Layer. Wool from Cheviot sheep, a flexible and breathable material that helps keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. It's the natural heart of this mattress.
- Mirapocket® springs and mini pocket springs. 1,200 Mirapocket® springs adjust to your movements through the night, which means support stays consistent as you shift position. A further 1,000 mini pocket springs add comfort and increase breathability.

Is the Silentnight British Wool 2200 in a UK king big enough for a couple?
Comfortably, for most. The UK king measures 150 x 200cm, which gives 75cm each for two people sharing. That is 15cm more width than the UK double, a difference you notice most when one of you shifts position or gets up early. If you want still more room and your bedroom allows it, the UK super king is 30cm wider.
Will a UK king Silentnight British Wool 2200 fit my bedroom?
Allow at least 2.7m x 2.9m, which is our guidance rather than Silentnight's. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they first appear once wardrobes and drawers go in, so measure the free floor space, not the room. If it falls short, the UK double needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.
Is the UK king version long enough for tall sleepers?
At 200cm, or 6ft 6in, it gives 10cm more length than the UK double, and for many couples with one partner over six foot the length is the real upgrade rather than the width. The UK super king is the same length, so sizing up further only buys you width, not extra room for your feet.
Does the king size Silentnight British Wool 2200 reduce partner disturbance?
It helps in two ways. The 1,200 Mirapocket® springs compress individually, so movement on one side is less likely to ripple across, and the 75cm each for two people sharing means you are simply further from the disturbance. If one of you keeps odd hours, that combination makes an early exit easier to sleep through.
Should I choose the UK king or the UK super king?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king, and the two are the same length, so the choice is purely about width and room size. We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king. If your room clears that and you share with a sprawler, or a dog with opinions, the extra width is well used.
