Key benefits
- Real distance from a fidgety partner: With 90cm each for two people sharing, most movement simply happens too far away to wake you, before the pocket springs even do their job.
- Motion control across a wide surface: The 1000 Mirapocket springs respond individually, which means one sleeper turning over on their side of 180cm barely registers on the other.
- Space for the whole household: If children or a large dog find their way in most nights, this size means an extra body doesn't push anyone to the edge.
- A big mattress without a big price: At the affordable end of the hybrid market, this is one of the cheaper routes to a super king with memory foam comfort.
- Check your room first: We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for a UK super king, so measure carefully, including door swing and the walkway around the bed.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and want the most distance from a partner who turns, shifts or wakes at different times. Or your mornings regularly include children or pets, and a smaller size leaves someone clinging to the edge. You'll also need a genuinely large bedroom, ideally comfortably beyond our suggested 3m x 2.9m minimum, so the bed doesn't dominate the room.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK super king, or you mostly sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK king instead: it's 30cm narrower, the same length, and needs a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

FAQ's
Is the Silentnight Comfort Pocket Essentials worth getting in a UK super king?
If you share the bed, yes, provided your room can take it. The Medium/Firm feel and 1000 Mirapocket springs stay the same across sizes, but the 180 x 200cm surface gives you 90cm each for two people sharing, so disturbance from a partner drops noticeably compared with smaller sizes.
Will the Silentnight Comfort Pocket Essentials super king fit in my bedroom?
We suggest a room of at least 3m x 2.9m for a UK super king, and that's our guidance rather than Silentnight's. Measure with wardrobes and bedside tables in place, and check the mattress can actually reach the room: stair turns and tight landings catch people out at this size.
Is a super king too big if my room currently has a UK king?
Possibly. The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length, so it takes noticeable floor space from both sides of the bed. If your room meets our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king but falls short of 3m x 2.9m, stay with the king.
Does a partner moving around disturb you less on the super king?
It should. The pocket springs limit motion transfer on any size of this mattress, but the UK super king adds distance on top: with 90cm each, a partner's tossing happens further from you than on a UK double or king. For genuinely restless sleepers, that width does more than any comfort layer.
Is this super king mattress good for co-sleeping with children or pets?
It's the size we'd point families towards. At 6ft x 6ft 6in, there's enough width for a child or dog to join without anyone hanging off the edge, and the Medium/Firm surface keeps support even when weight is spread unevenly. Just budget for super king bedding, which costs more than smaller sizes.
