The mattress itself is 150 x 200cm, or 5ft x 6ft 6in. We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can walk round both sides and open drawers comfortably. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they look once wardrobes go in, so measure the usable floor rather than the room on the plan.
Is the UK king version long enough for a tall sleeper?
At 200cm, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, which is often the difference between feet on the mattress and feet hanging off it for anyone around six foot. If width is your bigger concern, the UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two sizes are the same length.
