- Knitted cover. A soft knitted cover that adds a cosy, warm finish to the sleep surface. It's designed for airflow and breathability, which helps offset the natural warmth of the foam beneath.
- Pillow top with memory foam and polyester fibres. A pillow top filled with memory foam and dual layers of polyester fibres, which means the first thing you feel is plush and inviting. This is where much of the mattress's cushioned character comes from.
- Memory foam. A layer of responsive memory foam that uses your body heat to contour to your shape. In practice, that means pressure is eased at the points that dig in, such as hips and shoulders.
- High density white fibres. High density white fibres fill out the body of the mattress for a reliable, consistent feel. They add comfort and support while allowing air to move through.
- Pocket springs. A core of 1000 pocket springs, each encased in its own fabric pocket so they respond individually to your body. This targeted movement also helps minimise motion transfer across the bed.

We suggest allowing at least 2.4m x 2.8m for a UK small double, which leaves space to walk round the bed and open a wardrobe. The mattress itself measures 120 x 190cm. If your room is smaller than that, the UK single needs less space, and we suggest at least 2.1m x 2.8m for it.
Is a small double mattress long enough for a tall teenager?
The UK small double gives 30cm of extra width over the UK single but is the same length, at 190cm. A teenager who already touches the footboard of a single won't gain any legroom here. If height is the issue, the UK king is 10cm longer, although it needs a much larger room.
Will the Sleepeezee Classic Memory 1000 fit a loft conversion bedroom?
The UK small double's narrower footprint helps where a sloping ceiling cuts into usable floor, since it is 15cm narrower than the UK double.
