Layer Details
- Soft Knitted Cover. A highly breathable knitted cover finishes the mattress with a soft, luxurious feel. Breathability at the surface matters, which means less heat trapped where your body meets the bed.
- Profiled Staycool™ Gel. This profiled gel layer helps regulate temperature while gently contouring to your body. If you're a hot sleeper, this is the layer doing the most for you.
- Soft Polyester Comfort Layers. Soft polyester works alongside the gel layer to cushion pressure points such as the shoulders and hips. Side sleepers should feel the benefit most.
- High-Density Polyester Support Layer. A denser polyester layer beneath the comfort layers maintains structure and durability. It acts as a stable transition between the softer top and the springs below.
- 2000 Pocket Spring System. At the core sits a 2000-pocket spring system: 1000 traditional pocket springs and 1000 mini comfort springs. Each spring moves independently, which means less motion transfer if you share the bed.

- Real distance from a restless partner: With 90cm each, a fidgety partner is simply further away, and the independently moving springs help keep the movement that does travel to a minimum.
- Space for the early-morning arrivals: If a child climbs in at 3am, a UK super king leaves both adults with somewhere to go, rather than one of you clinging to the edge.
- Wider than a king, same length: The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king at the same 200cm length, so all the extra space goes into width, where sharers need it.
- Support spread across the whole surface: The 2000 spring system, 1000 pocket springs plus 1000 mini comfort springs, means each person gets contouring under their own shoulders and hips.
- Some help when the bed fills up: More bodies and a dog tend to warm a bed, and the Staycool gel layer is there to take a little of that edge off for warm sleepers.
This size suits you if...
You share with a partner whose tossing and turning wakes you, and you want distance rather than a firmer mattress to fix it. It also suits you if children or a large dog join you most nights and your bedroom comfortably clears 3m x 2.9m.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of our suggested 3m x 2.9m, or a sloping loft ceiling limits the wall space. We'd recommend the UK king instead, for which we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

Is the Sleepeezee Gel 2000 super king worth it over the king?
If space between you is the priority, yes. The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king and the same length, giving 15cm more each for two sharing. The catch is room: we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king against 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king.
Will the Sleepeezee Gel 2000 UK super king stop a restless partner waking me?
It gives you the best chance this mattress offers. At 90cm each, you sleep further apart, and the pocket springs move independently so less movement reaches your side. Yes, a very restless sleeper may still be felt occasionally, but distance does more here than any comfort layer.
Can two adults and a child sleep on a UK super king Gel 2000?
For the occasional night-time visitor, a UK super king is the size that copes best. At 180cm wide, a small child can settle in the middle without either adult losing their side entirely. It won't feel spacious if everyone stays until morning every night, but it's far kinder than a smaller size.
How much bigger is a super king Sleepeezee Gel 2000 than a double?
The UK super king is 45cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double. For two sharing, the UK double gives 67.5cm each, so the UK super king gives 22.5cm more each. Allow for the room too: we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king and 2.6m x 2.8m for the UK double.
Will a UK super king fit in my loft conversion bedroom?
Only if you have a full-height wall to put the headboard against, because the ceiling slope usually decides where a bed this size can go. We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m of usable floor. Check door swing and landing turns on the way up as well, since a 180cm-wide mattress is awkward to manoeuvre.
