Layer Details
- Knitted cover with Microquilted finish. A soft knitted cover with a micro-quilted finish, which means a smooth surface with a little added cosiness and warmth.
- Memory Foam. Memory foam cradles to your shape, which means a cushioned, cosy feel as soon as you lie down. It's the layer that gives this mattress its softer top comfort.
- Soft White Fibres. Soft synthetic fillings add to the cosy feel while staying durable and resilient. They're designed to hold their shape over time rather than compacting quickly.
- Mini Pocket Springs. Small, individually cased springs sit above the main spring unit, adding comfort and gentle pressure relief. They also help reduce motion transfer, so you'll feel less of a partner's movement.
- Pocket Springs. 1,800 traditional pocket springs, each encased in its own cloth pocket, adapt independently to your movement. This gives personalised support across the whole surface rather than the mattress moving as one piece.

- Leaves floor space in small rooms: The 90 x 190cm footprint leaves room for a wardrobe, a desk and toy storage, and we suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space.
- Grown-up support for a growing teenager: The pocket springs respond to each part of the body separately, which means a teenager who has outgrown a basic foam mattress gets proper support without needing a wider bed.
- Full adult length: The UK single matches the UK double for length, so a lanky teen or a single adult under the standard 190cm length won't find their feet hanging off the end.
- A sensible pair for twin guest beds: Two UK singles let guests who aren't couples sleep separately, and the medium firm feel is a middle-ground choice when you can't know each visitor's preference.
- Fits shared rooms and sloped ceilings: A narrow 3ft width lets siblings have a bed each with a walkway between, or lets a bed tuck along the low side of an attic room.
This size suits you if...
You're kitting out a child's or teenager's room where the bed has to share space with a desk and storage, you sleep alone and want hybrid support in a compact room, or you're furnishing a guest room with two separate beds rather than one.
Consider another size if...
You share the bed with a partner, or you simply want room to sprawl. The UK small double would suit you better, and we suggest at least 2.4m x 2.8m for it.

Is the Sleepeezee Luxury Ortho 1800 UK single too deep for a bunk bed?
Possibly. At 28cm deep, it is a thick mattress for a raised frame, and bunks, cabin beds and mid sleepers usually set a maximum mattress depth so the safety rail stays high enough. Check the frame manufacturer's guidance before buying. If the limit is lower than 28cm, choose a slimmer mattress for that bed.
How much room do I need for a Sleepeezee Luxury Ortho 1800 single?
We suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m for a UK single, which leaves space to walk round the bed and open drawers. It is the most forgiving size on floor space, so it works in box rooms, shared children's rooms and studies that also serve as a spare room.
Is a UK single Sleepeezee Luxury Ortho 1800 big enough for an adult?
For one adult of average height, yes. It is the same length as the UK double, so only width is reduced. If you are tall, the UK king is 10cm longer, although it is also 60cm wider and needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.
Single or small double Sleepeezee Luxury Ortho 1800 for a teenager?
The UK single is 30cm narrower than the UK small double, and both are the same length. If the room is tight or shared with a sibling, the UK single makes more sense. If there is space and your teenager sleeps restlessly, the UK small double needs at least 2.4m x 2.8m.
Is the Luxury Ortho 1800 in a UK single a good guest room mattress?
It works well where you set up two single beds for visitors who aren't a couple. The medium firm hybrid feel avoids the extremes, so few guests will find it too hard or too soft. Hot sleepers may notice the memory foam holding a little warmth.
