- Cover. A dual-sided graphite cool cover: one side uses heat-removing graphene, the other a soft teddy bear fabric. Flip it seasonally, which means a cooler surface in summer and a warmer one in winter.
- Comfort layer. StaycoolTM gel provides body-sensitive pressure relief while helping to keep you cool. In practice, it cushions your hips and shoulders without letting heat build up.
- Support layer. A high-density support layer with polyester fillings sits beneath the gel. This adds structure, which means the comfort layer above has a stable base to work from.
- Springs. Pocket springs form the base, with 2,000 in the king size. Each spring moves independently, which means better contouring and less motion transfer between partners.
Layer details from furniturevillage.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- More room each: You get 75cm each for two sharing, which means 7.5cm more each than a UK double and fewer nights of knees and elbows meeting in the middle.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm (6ft 6in) the UK king is 10cm longer than a UK double, so a tall partner's feet stay on the mattress rather than hanging off the end.
- 2,000 pocket springs: The UK king has 2,000 springs moving independently, which means a partner turning over or leaving early sends less movement across to your side.
- Room for a pregnancy pillow: The extra width leaves space for a support pillow and frequent shifting during pregnancy and the months after, without pushing the other sleeper towards the edge.
- A manageable footprint: We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, a smaller room than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest for the UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a UK double has started to feel tight, one of you is over six foot and needs the extra 10cm of length, or you keep different hours and want less disturbance when one of you gets up in the dark.
Consider another size if...
You both sprawl and 75cm each would still feel cramped. The UK super king would suit you better at 90cm each; we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for it.

How many springs are in the Sleepeezee SmartTemp Seasons UK king?
The UK king has 2,000 pocket springs. Each one moves on its own, which means the mattress contours to each of you separately and less movement travels across the bed. For couples on different schedules, that is the main thing the spring count does for you: one of you getting up early should cause less of a jolt on the other side.
Is the SmartTemp Seasons UK king long enough for someone over 6ft?
The UK king is 200cm long, or 6ft 6in, which is 10cm longer than a UK double. If one of you is around six foot or a little over, that extra length is often the bigger upgrade, because it gives room for your pillow and your feet without either one ending up over the edge.
Is a UK king SmartTemp Seasons big enough for two adults?
For most couples, yes. The UK king gives 75cm each for two sharing, which is 7.5cm more each than a UK double. That is enough for most pairs to sleep without constant contact. If you both starfish, or a dog regularly joins you, the UK super king gives 90cm each.
Is the SmartTemp Seasons harder to turn in a UK king?
A little, yes. The mattress needs regular turning, and a 150 x 200cm surface at 28cm deep is a job for two people rather than one. Since you share the bed, turn it together. The seasonal flip also swaps you between the graphite cool side and the teddy bear side of the cover.
Should we get the SmartTemp Seasons in a UK king or a UK super king?
Both are 200cm long, so the choice comes down to width and room size. The UK king gives 15cm less each than the UK super king but needs a smaller room: we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m, against 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king. Measure around your wardrobes before you decide.
