- Sleep Surface. A soft knitted cover gives a breathable, inviting finish. It's the first thing you'll feel, and it helps air move through the top of the mattress.
- Comfort Layer. Cooling Gel Fusion™ memory foam gently contours to your body, which means pressure relief at the shoulders and hips. The gel-infused design draws heat away from the sleep surface to help regulate your temperature through the night.
- Support System. 1000 individually responsive pocket springs move independently to support your body. That independence helps eliminate roll-together, so you're less likely to drift into the middle of the bed.

- Leaves room for everything else: At 3ft x 6ft 3in, the UK single leaves floor space for a wardrobe, desk or toy storage, which matters in a busy child's bedroom.
- Cooler for warm young sleepers: The gel-infused memory foam draws heat away from the surface, which means teenagers who run hot are less likely to wake up clammy.
- Medium feel for growing bodies: A medium firmness suits most back and side sleepers, so a child moving into their teens is unlikely to outgrow the feel before the mattress.
- Pairs well in a twin guest room: Two UK singles side by side give each guest their own 90cm of mattress, so nobody feels a partner shifting through the night.
- Fits under a sloping loft ceiling: The narrow 90cm footprint can tuck under the low side of an attic room, where a wider bed would leave you short of headroom.
This size suits you if...
You're kitting out a child's or teenager's bedroom and want a cooler memory foam feel. It also suits you if you're furnishing a spare room with two single beds for guests, or you sleep alone in a compact room, student let or loft conversion where floor space is tight.
Consider another size if...
You share a bed, or you want more space to spread out on your own. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which gives 67.5cm each for two sharing; we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m for the UK double.

Can I use the Radiance 1000 UK single on a bunk bed or mid sleeper?
Possibly, but check first. The Radiance 1000 is 29cm deep, which is taller than many raised frames are designed for. Bunks, cabin beds and mid sleepers usually set a maximum mattress depth so the guard rail stays high enough to be safe. Read the frame maker's guidance before ordering, and choose a shallower mattress if the Radiance 1000 exceeds it.
Will a UK single Radiance 1000 fit in a box room?
In most cases, yes. The UK single measures 90 x 190cm, and we suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space so you can get round the bed and open drawers comfortably. If the room also has to hold a desk or wardrobe, measure those in first.
Is a UK single Radiance 1000 long enough for a tall adult?
It may feel a little short. The UK single is 190cm long, the same as the UK double. The UK king adds length: the UK single is 10cm shorter than the UK king. If your feet already reach the end of a standard bed, the UK king gives you that extra room, although it needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m of floor space.
Is the Radiance 1000 a good mattress for a teenager's single bed?
For many teenagers, yes. The medium feel suits most back and side sleepers, and the gel memory foam helps with overheating, a common complaint as teens grow. The one drawback: heavier teens who prefer a firm, planted feel may find the Radiance 1000 slightly too giving.
Should I buy two Radiance 1000 UK singles or one double for a guest room?
Two UK singles suit guests who aren't couples, such as friends, siblings or grandchildren, because each person gets a full 90cm mattress of their own. A single UK double gives 67.5cm each for two sharing, so it suits couples better. Two single beds take up more floor than one, so measure the room before deciding.
