- Cover. A fine quality ticking encases the mattress. It is the finishing layer you will feel through your sheet.
- Fillings. British fleece wool sits alongside hand-teased horsetail blended with Devonshire wool. These natural fibres breathe well, which means less heat build-up overnight than you would get from synthetic foams.
- Springs. The king size holds 2,030 vanadium steel, six-turn pocket springs in calico pockets. Each spring moves independently, so you feel support where you need it and less disturbance from a partner's movement.

Can I get split tension on a Vispring Kingsbridge small double?
No. Split tension on the Kingsbridge is offered in the UK king and UK super king only, so a UK small double has one tension across the whole surface. That is fine for a solo sleeper choosing their own feel. If two of you need different tensions on each side, the UK king is the smallest size that allows it.
Is a Vispring Kingsbridge small double big enough for one adult?
For most solo adults, yes. It measures 120 x 190cm, or 4ft x 6ft 3in, which is 30cm wider than a UK single at the same length. That extra width gives you room to change position freely. Taller sleepers should consider length too, since it matches a UK single rather than the longer UK king.

Often, yes. We suggest a room of at least 2.4m x 2.8m for a UK small double. In a loft conversion with a sloping ceiling, measure the floor where you can actually stand, since you need to get in and out of bed comfortably. Being 15cm narrower than a UK double can free up that standing strip.
