- Fillings. Hand-opened Austrian Moosburger horsetail with hand-teased real Shetland wool blended with cashmere, mohair and cotton. These natural fibres breathe well, which means the sleeping surface stays comfortable in temperature rather than trapping heat.
- Springs. Vanadium steel 6-turn pocket springs housed in calico pockets, with 2,812 of them in the king size. Each spring works independently, so the mattress contours to your body and limits movement transferring across the bed.
- Borders. Protective wool and coir upholstered borders with air vents and handles. The vents help air move through the mattress and the handles make rotating it easier.
- Cover. Finished in a finest quality ticking.

- Room to settle apart: At 150 x 200cm you each get 75cm of sleeping width, which is 7.5cm more per person than a UK double gives.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, which means a partner approaching six foot can stretch out without heels hanging off the end.
- Less movement across the bed: The UK king's 2,812 springs sit in individual calico pockets, so one partner turning over or getting up early sends less motion to the other side.
- A soft surface with space to use it: The gentle, cushioned feel suits sleepers who shift position often, and the UK king's width lets two of you do that without competing for the middle.
- Easier to turn a large mattress: The upholstered borders have handles, which helps when rotating a mattress measuring 5ft x 6ft 6in, a job most couples do together.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and 67.5cm each on a UK double feels cramped, one of you is heading towards six foot and wants the extra length, or you keep different hours and want to disturb each other a little less.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m, or you mostly sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which we suggest for rooms of at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Vispring Magnificence Soft UK king long enough for someone over six foot?
The UK king measures 200cm long, or 6ft 6in, which is 10cm longer than the UK double. If length is your real reason for upgrading, the UK super king adds no more, as the two share the same length. The UK king gives a tall sleeper the extra room without needing a bigger bedroom.
Will I feel my partner move on the Vispring Magnificence Soft in king size?
You should feel less than on a connected spring unit. The UK king has 2,812 pocket springs that work independently, and each of you has 75cm of width. Yes, a soft surface can let you sink slightly towards a heavier partner, but the extra width over a UK double gives you more room to stay on your own side.
Should couples choose the UK king or UK super king in the Vispring Magnificence Soft?
The UK super king is 30cm wider and gives 90cm each, 15cm more per person than the UK king. Both are the same length. We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king against 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, so the UK king suits couples who want more space without the larger room.
Will a Vispring king size mattress fit in a new build master bedroom?
We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, with 3.2m x 3.2m feeling comfortable. New build master bedrooms often lose floor space once fitted wardrobes go in, so measure from the wardrobe doors when open, and check you still have walking room on both sides of a 150cm wide bed.
Is it worth upgrading from a UK double to the Vispring Magnificence Soft in a UK king?
If you share every night, the UK king adds 7.5cm of width per person and 10cm of length over the UK double. That matters most when partners keep different hours or one is tall. You will need a slightly larger room: we suggest 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king against 2.6m x 2.8m for the UK double.
