- Upholstery - Shetland wool and cotton blend. A blend of real Shetland wool and cotton sits nearest to you. Wool regulates temperature naturally, which means a warmer feel in winter and a cooler one in summer.
- Upholstery - Horsetail and wool blend. South American long stranded horsetail blended with British fleece wool. Horsetail is a traditional filling prized for its springiness, which means the surface recovers its shape rather than developing hollows.
- Upholstery - Bonded wool. Bonded British fleece wool and cotton adds durability and support. This firmer, denser layer sits between the soft fillings and the springs, helping the mattress keep its structure over time.
- Spring system. A hand-nested calico pocket spring construction with 1,720 vanadium steel pocket springs in the 150 x 200cm size. Each spring works independently, which means the mattress follows the shape of your body and limits motion transfer across the bed.

- Room left for everything else: At 90 x 190cm, the UK single leaves floor space for a wardrobe and desk, and we suggest allowing at least 2.1m x 2.8m.
- Cooler in a small, stuffy room: Shetland wool, horsetail and cotton replace synthetic foam, which means a single tucked into a warm box room or loft conversion shouldn't trap heat the way memory foam can.
- Cushioned for solo side sleepers: The medium soft feel lets your shoulder and hip sink in a little, while the independent springs beneath keep you held in line.
- Two beds for a guest room: A pair of UK singles lets friends or siblings who'd rather not share sleep apart, each on their own springs with no disturbance from the other.
- Other tensions if the feel is wrong: If the sleeper needs more pushback, Vispring offers Soft, Medium, Firm and Extra Firm tensions, so ask about these before settling on the standard feel.
This size suits you if...
You sleep alone in a compact room or under the slope of a loft conversion and want natural fillings rather than foam, or you're setting up a spare room with two separate beds for guests who don't share.
Consider another size if...
You share the bed, or you're a tall adult who wants room to stretch out. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which gives 67.5cm each for two sharing; we suggest at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Will the Vispring Regal Superb single fit a bunk bed or mid sleeper?
Possibly, but check first. The mattress is 23cm deep with around 6cm of doming on top, which is deeper than many raised frames are designed for. Look up your frame's maximum mattress depth and make sure the safety rail still sits well above the sleeping surface. If it doesn't, a ground-level single frame is the safer choice.
Is a UK single Vispring Regal Superb long enough for a tall adult?
The UK single is 190cm long, the same length as the UK double. If you're tall and find your feet near the edge, the UK king is 10cm longer than the UK single, although it is also a great deal wider, so allow at least 2.7m x 2.9m of floor space for one.
How much bedroom space does a Vispring Regal Superb UK single need?
We suggest at least 2.1m x 2.8m of floor space for a UK single. That leaves enough room to walk round the bed and open drawers, which matters in a child's room where the bed competes with a desk and toy storage.
Is the Vispring Regal Superb UK single a sensible choice for a child?
It depends on the child and the budget. The natural fillings and breathable build suit a teenager who sleeps warm, and horsetail is prized for recovering its shape rather than dipping. Yes, it's a serious outlay for a room a child may outgrow, but the UK single suits adult guests too once they've moved on.
Can two people share a Vispring Regal Superb UK single?
Not comfortably. At 90cm wide, the UK single is designed for one person. Couples would be better served by the UK double, which gives 67.5cm each for two sharing, or the UK king at 75cm each. For guests who aren't a couple, two UK singles side by side work well.
