Layer Details
- Upholstery - Top Layer. British fleece wool, hand-teased horsetail blended with real Shetland wool, silk and mohair, plus a blend of Shetland wool and cotton, all encased in high-quality ticking. These natural fibres breathe and wick moisture, which means a cooler, drier sleep surface than most synthetic fillings.
- Springs. A two-layer, hand-nested calico pocket spring construction with 2,520 springs in the 150 x 200cm size, made from vanadium steel. Each spring moves independently, so you feel support tailored to your body rather than a single stiff platform.
- Borders. Upholstered with protective coir and wool, finished with four rows of hand side-stitching. This stiffens the perimeter, which means firmer edge support and less sagging where you sit or sleep near the side.

- More room each: At 150 x 200cm, the UK king gives you 75cm each, which is 7.5cm more per person than a UK double, enough to stop elbows meeting at 3am.
- Length for taller partners: The 200cm length is 10cm longer than a UK double, so a partner over six foot can stretch out rather than sleeping slightly curled.
- Less disturbance from an early riser: The 2,520 springs in this size each move independently, which means a partner leaving for an early shift should disturb the other sleeper less.
- Firm edges for getting up: Four rows of hand side-stitching stiffen the border, so sitting on the side to dress or easing yourself out of bed feels stable.
- Fits more rooms than the super king: We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, compared with at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and have outgrown a UK double, or one of you is over six foot and keeps running out of length, and you both like sleeping on a properly firm surface.
Consider another size if...
You both move a lot in your sleep, or a dog regularly claims the middle, and 75cm each already sounds tight. We'd recommend the UK super king instead, which gives 90cm each; allow at least 3m x 2.9m.

Is the Vispring Sublime Superb UK king long enough for someone over 6ft?
The UK king is 200cm long, or 6ft 6in, which is 10cm longer than a UK double. For most people over six foot, that extra length is the real upgrade, since feet stop reaching the end of the mattress. The UK super king is the same length, so sizing up only adds width.
How much more space does a UK king give a couple than a double?
A UK double gives 67.5cm each for two sharing. The UK king gives 75cm each, so 7.5cm more per person, plus 10cm of extra length. That sounds modest, but it is usually enough to stop you brushing against each other every time one of you turns over.
Will I feel my partner getting up on a Vispring Sublime Superb king?
Probably a little less than on an open coil or a smaller bed. The springs are individually pocketed and move on their own, and the UK king gives you 75cm each, so there is more distance between you. If your schedules differ by hours, the extra width helps as much as the springs do.
Should we choose the Vispring Sublime Superb in UK king or super king?
Choose the UK king if your room is tighter: we suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m. The UK super king gives 90cm each, which is 15cm more per person, but we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m. If you rarely feel crowded at 75cm each, the UK king is the sensible choice.
Will a Vispring UK king fit in a new build master bedroom?
Often, but measure after the wardrobes are in, because fitted furniture takes more floor than you expect. We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, which leaves room to walk round both sides. If your room falls short of that, check your layout carefully before ordering.
