- Upholstery - Top Layer. British fleece wool sits alongside hand-teased horsetail blended with real Shetland wool, silk and mohair, plus a blend of Shetland wool and cotton, all encased in high-quality ticking. In practice this means a breathable, cushioned surface that regulates temperature well and keeps its shape.
- Springs. A two-layer hand-nested calico pocket spring construction made from vanadium steel, with 2,520 springs in the 150 x 200cm size. Each spring works independently, so you feel support tailored to your shape and less disturbance from a partner's movement.
- Borders. The borders are upholstered with protective coir and wool and finished with four rows of hand side-stitching. That stitching anchors the fillings to the springs at the edge, which means firmer edge support and a mattress that holds its shape for longer.
