- Ticking. The outer cover is made from soft to the touch, finest quality ticking. This is the surface you'll actually feel through your sheets, so the quality here matters more than it might seem.
- Fillings. The fillings include British fleece wool and cotton, horsetail and real Shetland wool. Natural fibres like these breathe and wick away moisture, which means a drier, more temperature-stable feel through the night.
- Springs. The 5 foot size contains 2,112 vanadium steel springs with a wool protector pad, each spring with 6 coils and hand-nested in its own calico pocket. Individually pocketed springs move independently, so the mattress contours to your shape and limits motion transfer.
- Borders. The wool-upholstered borders include air vents and handles. The vents help the natural fillings breathe, and the handles make turning this substantial mattress a little easier.

The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and both are the same length. That gives each of two sleepers 15cm more, at 90cm each against 75cm each on the UK king. If you share with a restless partner or children often join you, the UK super king is the better fit. Otherwise the UK king needs less room.
Is a super king Vispring Superb good for a restless partner?
Yes, and the width does a lot of the work here. At 90cm each, a partner who turns over a lot has more space to do it without reaching you. The calico-pocketed springs also move independently, so less of that movement travels across the mattress. For a child who arrives in the night, the UK super king usually leaves everyone a workable share.
