- More room each side: The UK king gives you 75cm each against 67.5cm on the UK double, which means 7.5cm more space to curl up without meeting an elbow.
- More distance between you: Pocket springs move independently, and the wider UK king puts extra space between sleepers, so an early riser getting up tends to disturb the other person less.
- Length for taller sleepers: At 200cm, the UK king is 10cm longer than a UK double, so a partner approaching six foot can lie straight without their feet reaching the edge.
- Space to sink in softly: Soft tension lets shoulders and hips settle into the surface, and the UK king's 150cm width gives two side sleepers room to do that comfortably.
- Fits more bedrooms than a super king: We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king, compared with at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and the UK double has started to feel tight, one of you is tall enough to want the extra 10cm of length, or you keep different hours and would like a little more distance when one of you gets up in the dark.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested minimum of 2.7m x 2.9m. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.

Is the Vispring Supreme UK king big enough for two side sleepers?
For most couples, yes. The UK king gives you 75cm each, and the soft tension lets your shoulder and hip settle in without needing to spread out. If you both sleep curled up with knees out, or one of you is broad across the shoulders, the UK super king gives 90cm each, which is 15cm more per person than the UK king.
Vispring Supreme UK king or super king for a couple?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king but exactly the same length, so height is not the deciding factor. Choose on width and room size. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king and at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king.
Is a UK king Vispring Supreme long enough if you're over six foot?
The UK king measures 200cm long, which is 6ft 6in, and it is 10cm longer than a UK double. That extra length is often the real reason taller couples size up, since a UK double can leave feet near the end. The UK super king is the same length, so it won't add anything here.
Will I feel my partner getting out of bed on a Vispring UK king?
Less than on a smaller size, in most cases. Each pocket spring moves on its own, and the UK king places your partner further from you than a UK double would. On a soft mattress you may still sense a little movement if they sit on the edge next to you, so a light sleeper with an early-rising partner should expect some, not none.
Will a Vispring Supreme UK king fit a new build master bedroom?
Often, but measure after the wardrobes go in, because fitted furniture can take more floor than the plans suggest. We suggest at least 2.7m x 2.9m for a UK king, with 3.2m x 3.2m comfortable. If your room falls short, the UK double needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m.
