Layer Details
- Microquilted Cover. A micro-quilted cover with fabric stitched into the filling beneath, which gives the surface a plush, quilted feel. It makes the top of the mattress feel smooth and soft from the first night.
- Soft White Fibres. Soft synthetic fillings that add a cosy layer of comfort just below the cover. They are durable and resilient, so they should hold their shape over time rather than flattening quickly.
- Memory Foam. Memory foam cradles to your shape, which means pressure points like hips and shoulders get a cushioned, contoured feel. It is what gives the mattress its sumptuous, sink-in comfort.
- Pocket Springs. 1000 pocket springs made from sturdy steel, curved to provide bounce. Each spring sits in its own fabric casing and moves independently, so your partner's movements are less likely to disturb you.
Layer details from mattressonline.co.uk product page, September 2026.
- 90cm of width each: Two sharers get 90cm each, so you can stretch out without negotiating territory, which matters more than any comfort layer when one of you fidgets.
- Pocket springs plus distance: The 1000 individually cased springs already limit motion transfer, and at this width your partner's tossing happens far enough away that you're unlikely to notice it.
- Room for the whole household: If children or a large dog treat your bed as theirs, this size means everyone keeps a workable share rather than someone clinging to the edge.
- An affordable route to maximum space: The Boost 1000 sits at the cheaper end of the hybrid market, which makes going big less painful than it would be with a premium brand.
- Full length as well as width: At 200cm long it matches the UK king for length, so taller sleepers gain space in both directions compared with a UK double.
This size suits you if...
You share every night and want real separation from a partner who shifts around, or your children or pets regularly join you and a UK king has started to feel crowded. It also makes sense if you have a large master bedroom where a smaller bed would look lost, and you'd rather get maximum space from an affordable hybrid than a premium one.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than the 3m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum for this size, or you sleep alone. We'd recommend the UK king instead, which is 30cm narrower and the same length, and needs at least 2.7m x 2.9m.

How much space does each person get on a UK super king Bodyshape Boost 1000?
Two people sharing get 90cm each. That's a generous strip of the 180cm total width, and combined with the individually cased pocket springs it means one sleeper turning over is far less likely to wake the other. If children join you at night, there's still a usable share for everyone.
How much bigger is the UK super king than the UK king in this mattress?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and the two are the same length at 200cm. All of that extra width goes into sleeping space, so the upgrade is worth it mainly for couples who feel cramped rather than tall sleepers, who gain nothing in leg room.
Is the UK super king the largest size the Bodyshape Boost 1000 comes in?
Yes. The Boost 1000 comes in five sizes from single to super king, and this is the top of the range. If you want more sleeping space than a UK super king offers, you'd be looking at zip and link or bespoke options from other brands rather than this mattress.
Is the Bodyshape Boost 1000 super king good for restless partners?
It's one of the better affordable options for this. The 1000 pocket springs move independently, which dampens motion transfer, and the 90cm of width each person gets means most movement happens too far away to disturb you. Sheer distance does more for broken sleep than any comfort layer can.
Where can I buy the Bodyshape Boost 1000 in a UK super king?
Availability changes, so the most reliable answer is the live comparison on this page. The prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, so check the table before you buy rather than assuming an older listing is still current.
