- Real space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can both change position without negotiating, a difference you notice most on restless nights.
- Width plus pocket springs: The independent springs already limit how much a partner's movement travels, and the UK king's 15cm of extra width over the UK double adds physical distance too.
- Length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, so anyone approaching 6ft stops sleeping with their feet at the very edge.
- Room for the dog: If a pet ends up on the bed most nights and takes more than its share, the extra width means you keep your side rather than surrendering it.
- A step short of the super king: You get most of the shared-space benefit without the UK super king's demands: we'd allow at least 3m x 2.9m for that size, against 2.7m x 2.9m here.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a UK double has started to feel cramped, one of you is a light sleeper who feels every turn the other makes, or someone in the bed is tall enough to appreciate the 200cm length. It also suits couples whose mornings run on different schedules, since the width and the pocket springs together make an early exit far less disruptive.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom is smaller than our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone and the width would go unused. We'd recommend the UK double instead, which needs at least 2.6m x 2.8m by our guidance.

Is the Heritage 2000 UK king big enough for a couple?
Yes, comfortably for most. At 150 x 200cm you get 75cm each for two people sharing, and the pocket spring construction keeps one sleeper's movement from travelling across to the other. If you both sprawl, or a child or dog regularly joins you, the UK super king adds another 30cm of width.
What room size do I need for the Heritage 2000 in a UK king?
We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m, which leaves enough space to walk around the bed and open drawers. That is our own guidance rather than the manufacturer's. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they look once wardrobes go in, so measure the usable floor, not the room on the plan.
Should we choose the UK king or the UK double for this mattress?
For two adults, the UK king is usually the better buy. It is 15cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double, and on a pocket spring mattress like this the extra distance between sleepers compounds the springs' motion isolation. Stick with the UK double only if your room is under our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum.
Will the UK king suit a sleeper over six foot?
This is the size where length becomes the upgrade. The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double at 200cm, or 6ft 6in in the 5ft x 6ft 6in imperial measurement, so a six-footer has clear headroom before their feet reach the end. Anyone taller still gets the same length from the UK super king, which is the same length as the UK king.
Where can I buy the Heritage 2000 in a UK king?
Compare the retailers listed on this page; the prices shown here are updated as retailers change them, so what you see reflects the current position rather than a cached figure. Given that the brand publishes little about firmness or construction, it is sensible to check the retailer listing for a trial period before you commit.
