- Room to sleep apart, together: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can both change position without negotiating for territory in the small hours.
- Pocket springs limit partner disturbance: Each spring moves independently, which means one of you turning over or slipping out early transfers less movement across the mattress.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double, a real difference if one of you is approaching six foot and tired of feet hanging off the end.
- Medium firm feel suits sharing couples: A medium firm surface works for most back and combination sleepers, so two people with different sleeping styles can usually both settle on it.
- Fits most master bedrooms: We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m, which most UK master bedrooms can manage without the bed dominating the room.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel cramped, particularly if one of you keeps different hours and the other feels every exit. It also makes sense if one partner is tall, since the 200cm length removes the feet-off-the-end problem, or if a dog has quietly become a permanent third occupant and 135cm no longer stretches to three.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest for a UK king, or you sleep alone. In either case we'd recommend the UK double instead, allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m for that size.

Is a UK king Heritage 7000 big enough for a couple?
For most couples, yes. At 150 x 200cm it gives 75cm of width each, and the pocket spring construction keeps one sleeper's movement from travelling far across the bed. If you regularly share with children or pets as well, the UK super king adds another 30cm of width.
What room size do I need for the Heritage 7000 in a UK king?
We suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can walk round the bed and open drawers comfortably. That's our guidance rather than the manufacturer's. A typical new build master often measures close to this once wardrobes are in, so measure the usable floor, not the room on the plan.
Should I get the Heritage 7000 in a UK king or a UK super king?
The UK king is 30cm narrower than the UK super king; both are the same length. If your priority is length for a taller sleeper, the UK king already gives you 200cm. Go for the UK super king only if you have the room, as we suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for it.
Is the UK king worth it over the UK double for this mattress?
The UK king is 15cm wider and 10cm longer than the UK double. That extra width is roughly a hand span more space each, which sounds small but is felt nightly, and the added length matters if either of you is tall. For sharing couples, it's usually the better long-term buy.
