- Proper space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can change position without waking your partner, useful if one of you gets up hours before the other.
- Extra length for taller sleepers: The UK king is 10cm longer than the UK double at 200cm, so anyone approaching six foot stops sleeping with their feet at the edge.
- Two spring layers under a wider surface: The 2500 mini pocket springs sit over 1000 larger pocket springs, which means movement on one side is less likely to travel across the extra width.
- Pick your feel for how you both sleep: Medium or Firm is chosen at order, so a couple upgrading sizes can also correct a firmness that never quite suited them.
- Fits a normal master bedroom: We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m, which most UK master bedrooms manage, though measure carefully once wardrobes are in.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and a double has started to feel tight, especially if one of you is restless or keeps different hours. It also suits you if either partner is approaching six foot, since the 200cm length is as much of an upgrade as the width, or if a dog has quietly become a permanent third occupant.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom can't comfortably take our suggested 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, or you sleep alone and want to spend less on the same build. We'd recommend the UK double instead, allowing at least 2.6m x 2.8m for it.

Is the Brook + Wilde Elite UK king big enough for a couple?
Yes, for most couples it's the comfortable choice. At 150 x 200cm you get 75cm each for two people sharing, which is 15cm more width than a UK double overall. Across the Elite's layered build, with 2500 mini pocket springs over 1000 larger ones, one partner shifting is less likely to disturb the other.
What room size do I need for the Elite in a UK king?
We suggest allowing at least 2.7m x 2.9m. That's our guidance rather than Brook + Wilde's, and it assumes you want to open drawers and walk round the bed without shuffling sideways. New build master bedrooms can be tighter than they look once wardrobes go in, so measure the usable floor, not the whole room.
Is the UK king Elite long enough for someone over six foot?
It's one of the better options. The UK king is 200cm long, 10cm longer than the UK double, which matters far more than width if your feet currently hang over the end. If height is the whole reason you're upgrading, the extra length may be worth more to you than the extra 15cm of width.
Should I choose the UK king or the UK super king Elite?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, and both are the same length, so the choice is purely about width and room size. We suggest at least 3m x 2.9m for the UK super king, against 2.7m x 2.9m for the UK king. If your room takes it and you both spread out, size up.
Can I choose Medium or Firm in the king size?
Yes, the firmness choice applies in the UK king. That's handy for couples, because upgrading size is a natural moment to correct the feel too: side sleepers and lighter bodies tend to prefer Medium, while back and front sleepers or heavier bodies usually do better on Firm. You pick one feel for the whole mattress, though, so compromise if you differ.
