- Premium cover. A thicker, soft-to-touch fabric that feels gentle against your skin. It is completely removable, which means you can wash it and keep the mattress fresher for longer.
- AirGrid®. A flexible grid of open air pockets that relieves pressure while letting air move around your skin. It bounces back the instant you shift, so you never feel trapped when changing position at night.
- Airgocell. A point-elastic, highly breathable layer that moves air through open cells. This releases humidity, which means a cooler, drier sleep surface.
- MemoryAdapt Foam. This foam moulds to your body's shape and spreads your weight evenly. In practice, that eases pressure on hips and shoulders while keeping you supported.
- SupportBase. A transitional foam that cushions your body and eases strain on sensitive pressure points. It bridges the comfort layers and the springs, giving balanced firmness without letting you sink too far.
- InfinitySpring. An edge-to-edge spring system split into seven targeted zones for your head, neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees and feet. Each zone adapts to that part of your body for more tailored support.
- Bottom cover. A grippy base fabric that holds the mattress in place on your frame. That means less shifting and sliding night to night.

- Proper space for two: At 75cm each for two people sharing, you can both settle into the contouring foam layers without negotiating over the middle.
- 15cm wider than a UK double: That extra width sounds modest on paper, but on a hugging, medium soft mattress it is the difference between cosy and cramped.
- Length for taller sleepers: The UK king runs to 200cm, so anyone approaching 6ft gets their feet on the mattress rather than hanging off it.
- Less partner disturbance: More width means fewer accidental collisions, and the AirGrid® layer springs back instantly when one of you shifts or gets up early.
- Seven zones across a wider surface: The InfinitySpring system supports each of you independently, which means one partner's hips sinking in doesn't tilt the other's side.
This size suits you if...
You share the bed every night and have outgrown a UK double, one of you leaves for work hours before the other and you'd rather not feel every movement, or someone in the bed is pushing past 6ft and needs the 200cm length. It also makes sense if a dog has quietly become a permanent fixture and takes more than its fair share.
Consider another size if...
Your bedroom falls short of the 2.7m x 2.9m we suggest as a minimum for a UK king. In that case we'd recommend the UK double instead, which still gives a couple a comfortable shared surface in a smaller room.

Is the Emma Original Elite UK king wide enough for a couple?
Yes, comfortably for most. At 150cm across you get 75cm each for two people sharing, and the seven-zone spring system supports each side independently. Because this is a medium soft mattress that lets you sink in slightly, that extra width over a UK double is genuinely useful rather than a luxury.
Will a UK king Emma Original Elite fit in my bedroom?
The mattress itself is 150 x 200cm, and we suggest a room of at least 2.7m x 2.9m so you can walk round the bed and open drawers. New build master bedrooms often look generous until the wardrobes go in, so measure the floor space you'll actually have left before committing.
Is the UK king Emma Original Elite long enough for someone over 6ft?
For most tall sleepers, yes. The UK king is 200cm long, which is 10cm of length over a double, so a sleeper around or just over 6ft can stretch out fully. If height is your reason for upgrading, the length is arguably the bigger win here than the width.
Does a king size help if my partner gets up earlier than me?
It helps noticeably. With 75cm each, an early riser can slide out without crossing your side of the bed, and the AirGrid® layer recovers its shape the instant weight lifts, so movement transfers less. It won't make a 5am alarm silent, but it makes the departure far easier to sleep through.
Should I get the Emma Original Elite in a UK king or a UK super king?
The UK super king is 30cm wider than the UK king, so it suits couples who want maximum separation, or those regularly sharing with children or a large dog. The UK king is the sensible pick if your room is closer to our 2.7m x 2.9m minimum, since a super king needs meaningfully more floor space.
